Animation was gorgeous, the 2 main characters had good chemistry, and the story wasn't too awful. The HD rip was a surprising treat today.

Not really, it works well enough with his character, it's even hinted at a little earlier that something bad had happened in the past to make him hate singing/dancing, but he shuts Poppy up before she can properly pose the question.

As it is, it makes it clear why he was so extremely against singing and having the big party, it was basically what happened to him and his grandma, except on a larger scale.

All characters were cute in its own way but not really "sexy" per se,even Judy Hopps had ass.

nonetheless I enjoyed Trolls more than that Disney brown princess movie.

I thought the animation was rather good, some of the humour was decent too but it just didn't feel right saying that for a Dreamworks film headlines by celeb voice actors and cheesy pop songs

Pretty heartwarming too, I expected very, very little and walked away wishing I'd paid more attention rather than dismiss it before I even saw it. Was nice to see Poppy sharing happiness and getting through to the grumpy troll. Story was perhaps a bit cliche at points but don't think that's what the movies strengths were intended to be anyway

It helped that everything in Bergentown was stuck in a perpetual late 70's/early 80's vibe.

The film had a good sense of humor going for it. Chef appearing behind the plant, somehow having the dead kings cloak with her, the lemon scene, and the "THE BERGENS ARE COMING!" one made me laugh.
