Nah. I work as a school teacher for fifth graders, and most kids don't even really watch TV anymore, it's all vidya and youtube.

Watching cartoons past, like, nine years old is seen as something to be embarrassed about because cartoons aren't cool or edgy or for teens. Kids love shit for teens, more of them are into anime. It's why stuff like family guy actually has a target audience of children, and why it's still on the air, south park too. There's actually a pretty big audience of kids who want to be treated like adults.
>>
>>88622854
>kids who want to be treated like adults but without any adult responsibilities
Sounds like half of 4chan.

You're actually not even wrong.

The schoolwork for middle school I'd so lax compared to what it used to be thst students might as well be neets. That get to browse their phones all day.

Fun fact, most kids are fucking ridiculously conservative since a lot of parents now are old hippies. It's like teaching a class that's the fucking cast for king of the hill.

It's gonna get real interesting ten years from now.
>>
>>88622951
I remember reading an article about how the newest generation is more conservative than the baby boomers. Stuff will get interesting quick.
>>
>>88623077
>the newest generation is more conservative than the baby boomers
I'm not sure I buy that. But I guess when things go too far left or right, people try to overcompensate. And kids try to set themselves apart from their parents' generation.
>>
>>88622951

I imagine they get tired of libtard BS they hear all day and defy their parents. Makes me wonder if in another 15-20 things will turn around again and we just have rotating generations of conservative and democratic youths.

>>88622656

Never seen it myself either so I'm not so sure.
>>
>>88622656
I think it's 3rd or 4th most watched, so yes.
>>
>>88623149
>we just have rotating generations of conservative and democratic youths.
... we do. We've had multiple generations that have confirmed this to be the case. Everything is cyclical.
>>
>>88622854
I feel like these cartoon channels are mainly watched by late teens and early 20 year olds who grew out of this phase, and thier siblings.
>>
>>88623218
This might be a case of too small a sample size. You'd be shocked how much kids differ from one city to the next.
>>
>>88623270
True enough. I've heard horror stories about inner city schools, and I work in a more suburban area.
>>
>>88623235

So its consitently a pattern of democratic and republican back and forth? I wonder what causes these sort of things.

I mean current age adults (18-24) are super liberal for the most part. It's weird to imagine it going the other way.
>>
>>88623258
yeah
its not like when i was a kid in the 80s and we only had cartoons in the early morning, right after school around 3-5pm and saturday mornings.

once CN got out of its ALL WE HAVE IS HANNA BARBARRA SHIT phase into the late 90s is when we started to get cartoons, ACTUAL new cartoons.

now anyone can go to calarts, make a sameface cartoon with WACKY and put it on CN or online on YT.

though, i remember when NG was the only place to really see new animated shit almost daily.
>>
>>88623309
Being fed up with things being one way. Overcompensation. The two-party system only really accounting for two options.
>>
>>88623218
It's not weird, they're just repeating shit they heard on the internet.

Cunt's sake you can hear how much of that shit sounds like pol.
>>
>>88623309
>I mean current age adults (18-24) are super liberal for the most part. It's weird to imagine it going the other way.
It's cyclical but it's all moving in a certain direction.

Conservatives now are less conservative than twenty years ago. Conservatives twenty years ago are less conservative than forty years ago. The same can't be said about liberals being less liberal going backwards.
>>
>>88622656

It's not even a good show. It's barely watchable because of the waifus, and even then it's not something I seek out but just don't change the channel for.

If a loser like me can barely watch it why would kids?
>>
This thread is actually better than expected.
>>
>>88623475
It would be a lot better if each episode was thirty minutes instead of fifteen. The pacing is way too fast.
>>
>>88623476
We're completely off-topic with a side of political circlejerking so...

I don't know maybe we shouldn't set our expectations so low.
>>

>>88622854
>Nah. I work as a school teacher for fifth graders, and most kids don't even really watch TV anymore, it's all vidya and youtube.

This is correct. My cousin in 6, and she watches TV but she gets a lot of her media from online. Cordcutting is going to boom in the next 5 years or so unless Cable/Satellite decides to cut down the channels and either...

1. Make cable affordable and less insane to pay for. In my household my dad pays $130 every month for Dish Network. The tv is either on CN, HGTV, CNN, or ESPN. Paying $130 for 3 channels is sheer insanity.

2. Add 'a la carte' options and allow users to pay for specific channels that they want to view instead of giving you "5000+ AMAZING CHANNELS~~!! XDDD", when realistically most people care about at most 20 channels.

However the rest of the shit you posted is kinda true as well. Kids don't really want media that talks down to them. A big reason why I watched Toonami and loved the fuck out of TOM was because he talked like a normal person and the atmosphere was dark and felt more mature. Kids do want to be treated like adults and its pretty insulting to give them a bunch of stuff that treats them like they are mentally handicapped/braindead.
>>
>>88622951
You think they're going to usher in a new world order of white power? All the kids I know love Trump and don't go a day without telling black kids their shitskins

I feel like Im watching live-action 4chan sometimes whenever I pop into a school to help with art
>>
>>88623585
I can't wait for Cable companies to be forced to make a dramatic change in service. Unfortunately, them also being most peoples' internet providers grants them significant power towards forcing package deals for the best value, keeping their Television departments above water.
>>

That's some really revisionist history, anon. Over here in reality the right wing has pushed farther to the right reaching out to extremists while the left has become centrist.
>>
>>88623714
Conservatives nowadays practically jerk off homosexuals off and at worst try to not sell them a cake. They talk a big game about racism but pussy out of actually going out and hanging them like in the sixties.

You're high on your own hype. Then again, so were the liberals eight years ago. Just another demonstrations of a cycle. They're just not perfectly parallel.
>>
>>88622854
Pretty much this.

I was watching an eight and ten year old yesterday and they were literally watching a video called '20 strange beds you wouldn't believe exist' and some videos by some youtube celebrity.

A lot of kids I've talked with still watch anime though.

This is demonstrably false. Look at economic and social policies enacted by Republicans just 20 years ago compared to their policies now.

Again: demonstrably false. Their economic and social policies have moved dramatically to the center, away from heavy spending and higher taxes and more towards the garbage neoliberalism that used to mainly be a republican mindset.

In the next twenty, thirty years I wouldn't be surprised if we actually started seeing more race wars or even a few extinctions of a few races too.

Kids are tired of hearing they need to treat others equally and all that other crap; they want to be rebellious and to the extreme too. I'm a 90's kid and the extreme was watching Dragon Ball Z and Powerpuff Girls, not making sure someone else felt like absolute shit.

That's wholly unfounded. If anything your race war is just wishful thinking.
>>
>>88624146
>Interracial breeding is at an all time high.
And yet racial identity is becoming more and more important. Which is how the term "of color" made a comeback in the first place.

Plus, race mixing doesn't quell racism, and in fact it can exacerbate it. Just like how in Spanish colonies there were like fifty different strata for races based on pedigree, birth location, etc.

You think the job market for new entrants is bad now? We joke about boomers not being able to retire until 80, but millenials will never retire.

Also automation will have taken further leaps and bounds destroying any potential for mass employment

Also AI will have taken over a large portion of service sector jobs further fucking over the job market.

What jobs they might be able to get will have terrible wages because no one can find a job.

Can atest to that. Work at an arcade/fun center place. Kids I've seen look at our licensed toys and unless they're insanely popular like Adventure Time then most kids will look at them and either not know what it is or know it by name alone. The only kids to enjoy care-bears, littlest pet shop, MLP, and other toys based on shows are the little 8 or younger crowd.

Meanwhile same age group and the older 9-12 year olds see our South Park large stuffed animals or our Family Guy Stewie/Brian and immediately name them off all excited.

or c) find out some artist to drawn your show instead of you

the only serious problem with this show is the pacing, Animation could also improve, it looks dated, like a 2009 cartoon (comparing it to Ruby Gloom, Foster's Home and season one Mlp, is very similar.) But the pacing, is the worst detriment of it all.

Those are terrible examples.
People who still watch those are the social pariahs of society.

>so, do kids even like this show?
Don't kids just watch youtube and twitch all day? Anyways I like the show it's actually original and is cheap but not as cheap as Problem Solvers so a good chance there'll be more episodes in the future.

>Parents are so fucking liberal that try to brainwash their kids into their nonsense, so they rebel and snap into being decent human beings.
It all works itself out. I have to thank God for giving me a no-nonsense set of parents.
