It's just, first the flashback arc dragging on for so long, and then the rushed ending. That I could tolerate. I wasn't utterly attached to Holly, and frankly it was about time we switched to another PoV
Then we get this whole meta sequence that seems to be unsure on what it wants to say, this sudden bout of dare I say humanity from Marx, and its..I dunno it's very jarring, and I am not even sure anymore.

One consistently good thing that Aaron handles in Endtown is the absolute horror of the Eatbeast mutations. They're sublimely horrifying.

I think it's unfortunate they aren't utilized more. I've been getting a bit tired of consistent Topsider threat. Having an Eatbeast stalking a topside group or busting into Endtown would be pretty cool.

The holly flashback couldn't. Getting into Holly's home life was nice, but then it dragged on. And on. And on. And we got the virus reveal, we got the hapzardedly-put together sendoff to Holly after a rescue sequence that felt like it was leading up to a bait and switch.

I think Aaron manages to shine when he has more then three or four characters interacting and playing offf each other. Wally and co. felt like passive observers during this arc, and- Okay sure they couldn't have done a lot more, but them voicing their thoughts would have been nicer. Heck, Aaron does show he could have handled such a thing pretty easily. See: Chick's reaction to the bedroom.

Shit, this now makes me realize that Aaron missed a golden opportunity to hae Wally and Lyn interact in a way that could have showcased the latter loving Holly as much as Aaron claimed.
