The Deluge Act Two!
It's good to see Batman can survive the pressures at the bottom of the ocean with just a mask.
>>88579727
alright variant except for Arthur's derp face
>>88579780
Same with Flash. I'm sure they'll be just fine.
Aquaman's never gonna catch a break, is he?
Shoot Atlantis first and ask questions later seems to be a staple he's plagued with.
>>88579971
I guess it's kind of like Cyborg and how they always seemed to go back to is he more man or machine, etc.
At least this time the league's on his side.
Good old Black Manta.
>>88579685
OK cover.
>>88579727
This is an absolutely fantastic cover.
>>88580117
Yeah, Aquaman has had great variants.
The end
NEXT
I hope everything works out and Atlantis isn't completely destroyed again. That's no fun for anyone.
>>88580217
oh shit
>>88580097
Well that's probably painful.
>>88580118
That's kind of gross.
>>88580158
tits
>>88580217
Cool, thanks for that. Didn't think they'd full on transform like that
Thanks, OP.
>>88579905
what the fuck? they talked it out in a civilized manner? no punching!? what is this!?
>>88580309
For him
>>88580217
orca, stonefish, lionish, shark, octopus what is the upper left guy supposed to be?
>>88580897
barracuda?
>>88580217
>RUN CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW RUN!!!
>>88579905
Suddenly Atlantis architecture became more technological. I'm pretty sure a few issues ago IT WAS ancient castles and stuff.
>>88579951
Fuck this Aquaman run has been great
I forgot Deluge just started. I need to get issues #12 and #13 from my LCS before or after Christmas but I've been really enjoying NEMO's roll, do you think they'll have a long term effect on the DC universe and be something like The Court of Owls or would it be an anti-Justice League and Black Manta will recruit villains who have had previous beefs with members?
>>88580217
AW YEAH STREET SHARKS
>>88580217
>A shark with tits
I shouldn't find this arousing DC but I do
>>88580217
THEY FIGHT, THEY BITE, THEY KICK SOME SERIOUS FIN
>>88582290
Marvel did it first.
>>88582290
How's this?
>>88579685
So I've wanted to start Aquaman for a while now and his rebirth stuff seems rock solid. Should I jump back to issue 1 and just read for there or is there any like- Pre-Rebirth stuff I should read before hand?
I.E. was there Abnett stuff before the reboot or what?
>have the Justice League go to Atlantis
>they talk and explain eachother like a bunch of fags instead of duking it out
this was a total waste
>>88582777
Got the perfect book for you.
>>88582736
He started in the previous run on issue 47, but since Rebirth is intended as a jumping on point, you don't need to read anything beforehand.
If you're liking this, you should also check out Johns' run of Aquaman from the beginning of the New 52, which is just as good as what Abnett is doing right now.
>>88582919
Wasn't two thirds of the New 52 Aquaman good?
>>88583071
I haven't read past Johns', that's why I didn't recommend it. Was it all good besides Bunn's run?
>>88582919
>>88583071
Guy who asked earlier, I'd heard that as well. That John's Aqua-Man and like the guy AFTER Bunn was supposed to be super great. I'll give it a look then. Thanks /co/ Merry Christmas.
>>88583071
Yes, Johns and Parker's runs were okay to great.
Bunn's 6 or 7 issues were horrible. Then Abnett came on for the last 5 or so issues.
>>88583130
That's what it seemed like on /co/, a lot of people were not really feeling Bunn's run. Aquaman really benefited from New 52.
>>88583170
Merry Christmas to you too anon.
>>88580007
If there is one thing that bothers me about this is that no one even tries to point out that the attackers are actually human and not atlanteans. Even if none of them are captured alive their corpses should make that clear.
And yeah I know it would be dismissed as "Atlanteans are forcing humans to fight for them" but still it bothers me that no one is bringing it up.
>>88584972
The thing is you don't give slaves weapons that's the fastest way to have them turn on you
>>88585047
Yeah thats obvious but I'm sure some jackass would use it as an argument if someone brought up the fact that the attackers are humans which no one has.
>>88584972
>>88585161
I'd like to think that the fact that these attacks are happening so quickly one after another
results in a gap in communications/the US government gets too assmad about it to listen to reason
Kind of like Tom Clancy's Sum of All Fears, only it's Atlantis vs the US and there are no nukes.
>>88585218
Sure I can totally buy that.
What bothers me is that none of the people trying to stop this is not even bothering to bring it up, as it seems like obvious proof.
If it was brought up I doubt anyone would listen to the idea, but I'm just bothered that no one is pointing this out.
>>88585218
Also fails safes look what happened to the sub crew
>>88585342
>>88585381
I just skimmed through both issues of the arc and it doesn't look like any of the "Atlantean" attackers were killed so far. Superficially, Atlanteans look like normal humans so there's no way for anyone to know that the attackers aren't actually Atlantean.
>>88579879
Ok now this old crone is just bullying Mera, she needs to die asap.
BTW thank you very much for the storytime OP, this is one of my favorites of Rebirth.
Is Aquaman changing into the Thing or did he use Ben's skin to make his shirt?
>>88585381
But isn't atlantean biology vastly different from humans? Even if their heads are popped you should be able to tell by autopsy.
Again I'm not arguing that the military should keep track on this, just that the Justice League isn't even trying to bring this up.
>>88585419
Well if none of the attackers have been brought down it would of course be harder to prove. But I still feel like the JL would bring this up and try to take prisoners, even if they would die due to the previously mentioned failsafe.
>>88585577
>But isn't atlantean biology vastly different from humans?
Yup, in Throne of Atlantis, Superman scans Vulko and doesn't see any lungs, so unless the failsafes liquefy their innards should be straightforward.
>But I still feel like the JL would bring this up and try to take prisoners
Yeah, but don't forget that the government believes the League has been compromised. Who knows if they'd take any new evidence the League brings them serously?
>>88585504
It's coral I think
>>88585691
Yeah I'm not doubting that the government wouldn't believe any proof the JL brought in.
What's bothering me is that it's such obvious proof but no one is even bringing it up, regardless if they would be believed or not.
>>88585841
I think general mustache might be with nemo
>>88585841
I agree. We'll have to see how it plays out, though I don't think they'll approach ending the conflict that way, since that'd be relatively underwhelming compared to other ways of ending it.
>>88585969
Entirely possible, he does fill all the marks on the checklist for obvious traitor
Or he is just the overzealous military man we see so often
