There were people who actually think she was still in high school. I think that's the problem with this comic, it's not very clear on a lot of things. I think the first issue from Edge of Spider-Verse or the first issue of Spider-Gwen established that she was in college but then had a scene where she visits a bar.

And it also doesn't help that the storytelling is iffy from time to time.
