Am I the only one who feels Mahnke is lazily inked here? The lines are just too thin sometimes, it's almost like they're just traced over. There's no details added most of the time. It doesn't look pretty clean like in his Ultra Comic or Superman Beyond

She features a bit in Agents of S.H.A.D.E. and I would assume that the extra arms is suggestive of Hinduism but I don't know her specific origin. However, I seriously doubt it's anything specifically religious. As anon above said, it was probably just a good model/look, plus it made her even more 'other' than two arms with sewing thread dividers might have, ala Frank.

The JL Dark run actually did pretty well and he wasn't used in that. And since he's been in S.H.A.D.E. as this issue indicates he's still there, I'm thinking it would need to be a JLD and SHADE cross-over? Or a new run with him and perhaps some other people, versus his own run. The solo issue didn't do enough to be continued.

Last I saw of SHADE, Ray Palmer had taken over it, I think, and he's supposed to be doing something with Choi in Rebirth. There's a lot of people in SHADE, in Frank's solo run, other than the Bride and a few other people, it was pretty much him on his own. I mean, I really enjoyed the issue and I always hear people saying nice things about them, and they didn't cancel the trade like they did for other things, so it pre-ordered well, but not enough for them to really do anything with the series.

He featured a bit in Futures End and, again, I thought he did well.

They need to pick up on something like Seven Soldiers with him.
