I suspect she already does have a weak handshake.

I fear that I sometimes come across as having a weak handshake because I try and gauge it to the other person and then think that I should have gone harder but the moment has already passed. I don't want to be a jackass and just outright squeeze, but maybe I should have clasped a bit harder?
