What's Rebirth got in store for Tim? What's his future?

He got put on the shelf because they have no ideas for the character. They made it explicit he didn't die to appease his 6 autistic fans, but he won't be showing up again for a long time.

This. It's obvious that the real Rebirth story is going to run through Superman and Titans before hitting the usual suspects like Flash or Batman. Tim is background. They put him there because DC didn't know what to do with him otherwise.

Hopefully they'll have a decent direction figured out by the time Rebirth hits. That or they kill him for real.

I personally think he should just retire. There's nothing for him and his generation now. Unlike Dick's generation who managed to plant their foot firmly in continuity, what did Tim and his generation do?

DC has him on ice while they figure out how best to launch a Steph&Tim duo book, filled to the brim with angst, drama, and Cass as their autistic child
