Saw is a shit character, was useless in Rogue One, and his entire storyline in TCW was fuck awful.
>>88497054
I see RigNemanon has a new gimmick
How hype are you?
I just saw Rogue One
I lost my shit whenthe communications were disrupted

>it's Christmas time
>not going with Scarf Edition
Fuck you, Grinch! Your cousin Yoda is going to have to whoop your ass again.
The /tv/ shit patrol has arrived, hasn't it?
Krennic staring up as the Death Star kersploded the compound fucked me up more than any of the """"""hero"""""" deaths. Also it was better than TFA in every conceivable way, was pleasantly surprised.
>>88497130
>spoiler
Not a controversial opinion at all, I think most people feel that way
>>88497125
It was always here
>>88497125
They've been here for days.
ho Ho HO YULETIDE
>>88497115
Christmas time? I'm Jewish!
Daily reminder that Ezra is a buttslut
Finally tomorrow i'am watching Rogue One with my whole family but i told them the good guys die in the end and now my sister hates me....oh well
>>88497054
Are you the new Rig NemAnon?
>>88497168
'tis the season, then
Tarkin orders the Death Star to fire on the base, why did it hit 100 miles away? Far enough away that they had enough time to sit on the beach a few before it got them .
Death Star main gun crew has shit aim
>>88497181
You're an asshole, anon.
>>88497130
It was, except for the whole one-off cast thing.I'm still expecting people to declare Jyn as Rey's mother after Jyn survives the Death Star by using her kyber crystal to create a Force bubble around herself, thus achieving the prerequisite Suedom to pass on to Rey.
>>88497174You know it!
>>88497172
The only thing that makes me more angry than what JJ did to Star Wars iswhat he did to Star Trek.
>>88497197
They were aiming at an extreme angle. It may be that at that time the only part of the facility they could actually hit was the dish, which turned out to be the only really important part at the time.
>>88497151
This is the first time I've poked in since the mid-season finale, wasn't sure how the atmosphere was.
Seriously though, I really enjoyed it. Only real complaints is Whittaker felt like he was phoning it in and some of the effects early on seemed kinda bleh.
Went with my dad, who owned/read every EU thing from The Adventures of Han Solo to the first series post-NJO, and saw Empire literally dozens of times in theater. He absolutely loved it.
>>88497130
>not tagging actual spoiler
>tagging non-spoiler
>>88497208
If all the crystals on Jedha City, an actual holy site, didn't do that, I wouldn't expect a single crystal on a non-holy planet to do it.
>>88497241
Spoiler tags are more likeopinion tags.
>>88497244The Empire strip mined those crystals, plus Jedha obviously isn't a Mary Sue.
>>88497274
because posting an opinion here has become a one-way ticket to bringing up flame wars
>>88497241
>not realizing /swco/ gets more up in arms about the TFA Question than actual spoilers
>>88497285
No being meta about this is a sure way to start one bitch
>>88497174
it's not even funny anymore, you fucking cocksucker son of a whore with cancer.
>>88497280
Did you miss the part where we literally see crystals not taken off planet by the Empire yet? There are likely more where they came from still.
>>88497297
uh-oh, a meta opinion
Is Saw going to be voiced by his Clone Wars voice actor, you think?
>>88497022
I bet the most incompetent empire officers work on Scarif.
>>88497321
Yes, I think so. Unless they actually spring for his new actor.
>>88497314
Did you miss the part where Jedha isn't a person? If the crystals could do that on their own then why didn't Gandalf convince Treebeard to raise an army of kyber golems against he Empire?
>>88497340
It's possible part of his contract for Rogue One involved also voicing Saw in Rebels, but I doubt it.
>>88497022
So now that we have a successful, sarcastic robot that speaks his mind on screen, are we never going to get HK-47? Or will that encourage them to use him sooner?
>>88497329
Well Krennic did have to shout at them to get them to actually reaction to all the explosions
>>88497340
Nah, Forest Whitaker is too big time to voice cartoons.
>>88497329
It's a relatively safe planet that's under a planetary shield. Of course these officers come from the Core Worlds and expect a safe post.
>>88497381
That's what they said aboutJohn de Lancie.
>>88497374
Not sure why that would stop them, we've had other droids like that. AP-5 on Rebels is literally Alan Rickman: The Droid.
Doesn't Rogue One kind of contradict the first Star Wars bymaking it so Alderaan was the Death Star's third testfire and not its first?
>>88497329
I doubt it, otherwise krennic would be there
>>88497404
Welcome to Star Wars.
>>88497404
Alderaan is the first planet hit by a full power laser (the setting that kills planets). It was specifically said twice in RO that only one reactor was used to power the laser firings.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phnfrccG_EA
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WODXBROSh8c
>1,000 dislikes
It keeps dropping. I wonder what RLM will say
>>88497404
Alderaan was the first time it'd been used at full power.
>>88497404
jedha and Sarif were only proof-of-concept, that the laser worked
Alderaan was the first time it was fired at full power, and actually destroyed a planet
>>88497404They were testing the Death Star at its fullest potential. The previous two shots were only using a fraction of its power.
>>88497404
Alderaan was first 'public' test. Scarif and Jedha were handwaved as freak accidents. Kersploding Alderaan was Tarkin going "hey look at our planet killer" to the public for the first time.
Also both shots in Rogue One were just to blow up large chunks of land, not full celestial bodies.
>>88497404
It's still the first time they used max power
>>88497414
LEAVE HIM ALONEHe did work there.
>>88497195
>Did you ever hear the tragedy of Saint Nicholas the Kind? I thought not. It's not a story the Humbugs would tell you. It's a Christmas legend.
>Saint Nicholas was a Kind Soul of Christmas so cheerful and so kind he could use Christmas Spirit to influence the presents to create... happiness. He had such a knowledge of the nice side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from the naughty list. The nice side of Christmas Spirit is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be too joyful.
>He became so very cheerful... the only thing he was afraid of was losing his cheerfulness, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his elves everything he knew, then his elves naughtied him in his sleep. It's ironic he could save others from the naughty list... but not himself.
>>88497208
Only in the fanfics you write to false flag on ff.net, Anon.
>>88497374
Sure.He shows up in SW Rebels as an ocd comic relief character. He kills no one and dies before Season 3 finale.
>>88497474
he was only visiting, he was checking files to see all transmissions made by Galen
>>88497434
That it's better than the prequels. That it erases the memory of them and Disney is the savoir of Star Wars.
All it's going to be is more PT bashing
>>88497404
I remember them calling Alderaan a demonstration, but I don't remember it being specifically the first test.
Having watched the movie a second time, the soundtrack really grew on me.

>>88497346
They're saving that for Rogue Two: The Dark Tower when the Rebellion tries to sneak into Vader's castle and locate the secret plans to his life support suit so they can determine if it has a weakness. It used to have a rear thermal exhaust port but they recently covered it with a wire mesh they bought at Space Home Depot. The internet will freak out when a certain controversial Prequel character cameos as Darth Wormtongue.
>>88497516
trailer music was my favorite actually, the slowed down piano-like imperial march was good
>>88497434
>I wonder what RLM will say
Whatever they say, it will be what everyone else starts saying for years to come.
>>88497490
God damn you are bad at this, anon. If you want to false flag someone you at least print it out, take really shitty photographers of it, and then email it to MSW as a 100% authentic leak.
>>88497496
HAHA. I can just imagine the KOTOR fans exploding if that happened.
>>88497434
Well at least she's trying something different to stay relevant.
>>88497584I haven't returned to the threads until today when I finally saw Rogue One. Did the KOTOR fans go nuts about the hammerhead having such a prominent role thus proving KOTOR is canon again?
>>88497625
People have expressed excitement about that moment but thankfully there hasn't been any OMG KOTOR IS CANON NOW shitposting
>>88497625
I wasn't in the threads but I saw the hammerheads and was very happy that there were at least a few KOTOR nods in the film. Was still hoping the blind guy was also a KOTOR reference but it certainly didn't seem that way.
>>88497625
>thus proving KOTOR is canon again?
Only the retards that don't know how canon works, but those posts died down fast.
>>88497550
TFA review left a bad taste it a lot of RLM fans mouth. They were expecting him to eviscerate but he was surprisingly clam about the entire movie. He did not go at the films jugular .
>>88497667
That's a relief. It's nice they had a role. I guess they're called hammerheads for a reason.
Can't recall seeing if it jumped at the endor the Ghost for that matter.
>>88497555
I admit that's better. Should cause thousands of meltdowns, not just dozens.
>>88497692
Yeah his only complaint was that Rey and Finn didn't fuck or something like that.
Not that the whole film was basically ANH 2.0
>>88497704
a hammerhead made the jump out, while I didnt see the ghost, it is small and fast enough that it is likely to have escaped, add to that a highly experienced crew
>>88497679
Maybe a good deal of that was taken care of when they showed up in Rebels. The people prone to both Star Wars and 4chan blew their load on that so were prepared for this one?
>>88497733
That and just because the Devastator blocked a few ships from jumping doesn't mean they couldn't have gone around it and jumped
>>88497733In later series of Rebels we find out that they flew down and did a 69 Pickup of Jyn and Cassian who weren't actually hit by the blast last we saw them but only washed out by the sheer brightness coming towards them. If you want to know why the pickup has that name let's just say they were doing more than hugging in their final moments. Going out with a bang before the bang, as it were.
So, what is Luke actually doing? What's his journey for, what is he searching?
Since Rogue One canonized the Guardians of Whills (well, the Journal of Whills was already a thing in TFA's novel, actually), could it be Disney is actually setting up something big here?
I'd bet Luke is in search of ancient teachings of Whills, or some kind of artifact
What's an RLM? Is this something I should only get into if I like watching my wife get fucked.
>does a threesome with her ex girlfriend count?
Some sound effect autism I noticed in RO:
From an outside-the-cabin view, the U-wing had the same jumping to/out of hyperspace sound effect as the Ghost.
The tank on Jedha had AAT laser sound effects in the trailers, but I didn't hear them in the movie.
You could actually hear the Ghost's gun going off at least once in the battle, which is the only reason I noticed it fly by that specific time a second later.
>>88497793
He went to go find the first Jedi Temple, but we have no idea why.
>>88497788
dubs dont liethey also held hands
>>88497788Obviously this is BS but it would be nice if they spring Raddus from Imperial Pound You Up the Cloaca Prison.
>>88497208
Considering all the hints that the SW:Rebels crew were around during the film I'd say that Jyn wasrescued by the Ghost crew and will join the show
>>88497821
>spoiler
>>88497807
I noticed that Vader's choke had the "vweep" sound that they use for it in TCW
Anybody else catch the General Syndulla name drop in Rogue One?
>>88497917
Yeah, literally everyone here who watched the movie.
>>88497807
I thought I was the only sounds autist here. It's the one thing in Star Wars I listen out for. I disliked TFA for this reason most of the sound effects were reused or cheap sounding. It was obvious Burt was not there.
>>88497917
It's been mentioned in every thread since the movie came out. So obviously no, no one else heard it.
>>88497948
>>88497966
I honestly hadn't seen anyone else mention it, ignore me, I'm not a special snowflake like I thought... Was it true Chopper was seen at some point?
>>88497625
We already had an entire Rebels episode dedicated to the Rebels getting their hands on Hammerheads, thus making those ships canon. Chances are high one of those three is Rogue One's one.
>>88497994
Yes.
>>88497994
Yeah. Someone had a screenshot a few threads ago.
>>88497994
yes and we also see the Ghost
>>88497843
Might be interesting but the show is still years from that unless they do another time skip.
I wouldn't be surprised ifsomehow Jyn and Cassian survive if and only if enough noise is made by fans upset that none of the main characters survives.
And for shits and giggles let's see here ... Bodhi is ejected from the shuttle by the blast, comes back as an Echo style cyborg.
K-2SO actually uploaded a copy of his mind into the Stardust file before his heroic sacrifice and so was passed on with the Death Star plans.
Blue Leader actually ejects from his X-Wing. He makes it to the top of the comm station in time to find Krennic and the two men stare at each other, them up at the Death Star laser, then back at each other, shrug, and make out before the beam hits.
Baz and Chirrut become Force Ghost by will and grace of the Force but we never see them again because Chirrut is still blind and keeps getting lost and Baz may be a Ghost and also not really his actor Jiang Wen but god DAMN is he worried Kathleen Kennedy and her even bigger gun will find him.
>>88498037
>>88498030
>chopper
>VCX
>general Syndulla
what does it all mean?
I must have missed the Wilhelm's scream, when was it?
>>88498068
It means thatthe Star Wars universe is actually consistent in its characters and ships
>>88498068
Means we'll probably eventually see the Battle of Scarif on Rebels
>>88498052
I would watch that
Anyone else surprised to see that Kaytoo had the spinning retractable not-USB device (don't know it's name) that, so far, only Astromechs have some form of?
>>88498002
Never seen rebels
So Kotor is canon now? Kotor or Swtor? Hopefully the former , though , how did those ships survive over 1000 years and still be battle ready and functional enough to ram star destroyers ?
>>88498128
No but my first thought when that happened was that someone would eventually take that and caption it with "trust no one, not even yourself"
>>88498133
No, only the ship design is.
>>88498133
>how did those ships survive over 1000 years and still be battle ready and functional enough to ram star destroyers ?
They don't you moron. The games aren't canon just because something was taken out of them to use in canon. They are an ancient design, but that doesn't mean they couldn't have been built recent to the episodes/movie.
>>88498002
That was besides the point. We're talking about the dread specter of Normies who would watch the a major theatrical release but not a "icky yucky show that is baby shit for babies"
>>88498133
>So Kotor is canon now?
Does anybody have the visual dictionary for rogue one, or the one for rebels? After seeing R1 I'm jonesing for that sweet fictional reference book high.
>>88498166
To be fair, it IS baby shit for babies.
>>88498133
>So Kotor is canon now? Kotor or Swtor?
None of them are canon.
>>88498133
>people will take this b8
>>88498133
I hope this is bait. It's probably not, people are still to fucking retarded to understand how the new canon works
>>88498097
It would almost be worth it just for that damncrystal necklace actually somehow saving her even if it would be total bullshit. And only because the damn thing, shown so prominently at several points in the movie, would finally have had an actual purpose beyond showing us Chirrut has Force Jewelry Detection, the most canon power from the old Star Wars tabletop games Pablo used to play, still plays, and also wrote for.
>>88498216
well, kyber crystals are highly reactive to the force, so it would ring true and clear even to a blind force-user, at least according to the FFG manual (not-canon, but not contradicted)
Do people really think Tarkin looked bad? He was pretty spot on for me.Leiawas a bit off, but that was only for a few seconds.
>>88498211
>>88498206
That certainly didn't look like bait, just someone asking a question. Though I'd agree obviously not someone who frequents these threads on a regular basis since they don't know the answer already. Could be anyone on /co/ who saw the movie and then saw a Star Wars thread.
>>88498133
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Hammerhead_corvette
>Hammerhead corvettes were a model of corvette used in the years leading up to and during the Galactic Civil War. The ships were inspired by a design that dated back centuries.
So did they CGI young Leia as well? Because if so, they did MUCH better on her than Tarkin. Tarkins CGI face was way to jarring and noticeable.
Or did they use Fishers daughter?
>>88498279
they used Ingvild Deila for the body and then CGI'd the face.
Tarkin was physically played by Guy Henry with CGI for the face.
>>88498133
No, but some things feel like they kinda are... They did Malachor, they referred to some event called the Great Scourge of Malachor, which screams Mass Shadow Generator which leads to Darth Nihilus... but nah, nothing is canon.
But things can be implied.
>>88498279
The CGI on Tarkin was extremely good, but it still being CGI made him seem very uncanny valley, it was his mouth as he spoke that gave it away the worst , couldent tell if leia was CGI, she had one line and a smile
So...no rebels episode tonight?
>>88498314
>Royal princess having to move from her spot just to take something from a lowly ship captain
>>88498174
Where'd you get such a high quality Rogue One screenshot?
Rogue One proves the Tarkin Doctrine was not flawed
If it wasn't forGalen Erso giving the Death Star a giant glowing weak-spot on purposethe Empire's domination of the galaxy would have been swift and absolute.
ROTJ shows us that, after the first one, they could pump out a Death Star every 3 years or so. Imagine what could have been.
>>88498346
Not till next year. We're on winter break.
>>88498346
It's on break until some time next month, as most other Fall American tv shows are.
>>88498346
>Air Date: Jan 08, 2017 01:30 - 21 days from now
so the death star talk in the last thread got me thinking, what happens to the DS2's shield when it decides it wants to leave Endor's orbit?
>>88497516
The music was one of my biggest complaints about the movie. None of the tracks really stood out to me but listening to this on it's own is... incredible. I'm blown away by this track.
>>88498259
It's okay in theory, I suppose. Talzin had a Force forcefield utilizing an aspect of the Force. And it's not like it would be staving off a direct hit, just helping them survive the blast wave.
Shit, now I almost want it so we'd have the Star Wars equivalent of Nuke the Fridge.
>>88498371
on the other hand, by using force and fear to control galen, they created the conditions for him to plant it in the first place, and fear of the death star being used is what drove them to go all out to find the plans
also, once they were without the big stick, the fear used to control everyone was very quickly replaced with anger, and they went from 30 snub fighters to full sized capital ships really quickly
Leia puts it simply, "the tighter your grasp on the systems, the more they slip through your fingers"
>>88498371
That small retcon set off my autism though
>Death Star has a weak point becuse a traitor put it there
Not
>they know about the weakness, but are too arrogant to consider a single ship could exploit it, the same arrogance that has star destroyer bridges and power stations sitting high up and exposed
I did like how it should Rebels do often target destroyer shield generators like they did in ROTJ
>>88498433
I meant a blind guy seeing the crytals
>>88498273
And to be even more fair, even in the show they mention that those ships are pretty damn old.
It was also nice how they used Ion Torpedoes as they did. They just don't that much love, to be honest.
I wanted to get something finally for Star Wars since I haven't bought shit in years.I bought a t-shirt with a print of the old Arcade cabinet game.I feel dirty.
>>88498376
>>88498382
>>88498386
Thanks guys, since I'm not from USA , I didnt know about this
>>88498460
No Imperial that survives RO, that finds out about the weak spot, goes on to ANH to tell anyone about it. The Empire looks over the plans one final time to see that there is a weakness they previously had no idea about, but they let their arrogance take the wheel and ignore it.
There's no retcon.
>>88498487
I came close to getting that same shirt. Good memories.
Any hi-res images of Vader's castle or of him standing in the docking bay as the Tantive IV leaves?
>>88498501
I'm downloading a camrip now give me ~5 minutes
>>88498390
It doesn't need one. With no exhaust port that time the station would be practically inpenetrable once completed.
The only reason it was needed it in ROTJ was because most of it wasn't complete, hence the paths right to the reactor
>>88498524
I love you.
HELP US
So what's the new season for Rebels like? I've been away for a while.
>>88498390
It was never intended to leave, not untill rebels had been destroyed at least
>build the super laser first and purposely drag ass on the the structure
>shield is put up just incase, since the core is exposed anyways
>rebels destoryed
>finish Death Star and set it off
Oh , unrelated
I'm not the only one that got the ham fisted Syria war allegory?
>desert planet
>desert city where many aliens have covered faces
>Isis extreme rebel
>that battle
>>88498573
Fucking sweet
I love how they made it look so effortless for him
Did it ever get confirmed that Vader's castle is Bast Castle (on a diff planet obv) or is that my head canon?
>>88497168
>>88498576
Pretty good so far. Animation improved even more from Seaso n2.
>>88498494
to my knowledgehe only planted the unstable reactorthe exhaust port was something that the rebel analysts came up with after reviewing the plans
>>88498471
Don't worry about it, you were clear in what you were talking about. I'm merely talking about wider aspects of the Force we've seen.
It would be odd, and certainly wouldn't be without controversy, but it IS technically doable. I don't see them doing it that way, however.MAYBE a last minute save by the Ghost crew, though I wouldn't rate that very high either. It's just more palatable./spoiler]
>>88498596
It's not called that, but I guess you could argue it is the canon version of Bast Castle. Both were based on Leigh Brackett's idea so arguing semantics is pointless anyway
>>88498576
About the same as season 2
>>88498573
>yfw the reason he choked Antilles with his hand was because he exhausted himself by doing all this just a few minutes before
>>88498566
You're not getting a high-res image from a camrip
Just got back from the movie.
Might have misheard, but i'm like 90% sure they said Hera's name after the debrief when the team got back to Yavin 4.
It sounded like they said "General Syndulla to the briefing room"
Anybody got anyPixar Tarkin?
>>88498460
If it helps soothe your autism at all, the Empire still fails because of arrogance. Whether an inside saboteur put the weakspot there, or if it was built that way on purpose, it makes little difference.
Vader is aware in RO that Erso could have compromised the Death Star. He warns Krennic about it specifically. Tarkin in ANH is likewise aware that the possibility exists of a weakness but is still too arrogant to think 30 x-wings could do anything about it.
And he's right. Nobody could have foreseen Luke coming along with his great shot that was 1 in a million, kid.
It's interesting to look back at it all now and realize Vader tried to speak up early on about how the Force wasn't something to be fucked with but nobody listened.
>>88498715
They did.
>>88498715
You heard correctly.
>>88498719
well the line "it doesnt matter what technical data the rebels have" indicates that they are not concerned at all
>>88498679
It was longer then a few mins
>tantive jumps to tatooine
>vaders ship catches up
>captures it
>few mins of fighting
>choking the guy
>>88498573
I can watch this all day
>>88498501
Vader's Castle
>>88498269
We discuss this topic frequently and Lucasfilm and Disney deal was 2 years ago. An idiot should know this by now. His fault for not lurking
fucking newfags ruining this site
>>88498573
>the way Vader just walks forward at a steady pace while using his wrist movements to deflect blaster shots, then switches to heavy cleaving blows all while force-fucking everything with his off-hand
He was in top shape that day. They really nailed it. He's not doing anything flippy or overly fantastic, but his mastery of the lightsaber and the force is made clear.
>>88498796
Favorite part of engineered weakness was how it was a complete fuck you to ep VII monster of the week attitude of "there's always a weakness"
Why did Pablo say this scene was so important to rewatch before watching Rogue One?

>>88498501
Standing on the docking back
>>88498494
No, I'm pretty sure Ciena's friend in Lost Stars figures out the danger and it gets relayed to Tarkin who dismisses it.
>>88498851
For the empty chairs, i guess
>>88498715
>"General Syndulla to the briefing room"
It could have been her dad too
Tarkin
>>88498880
She's still part of "the Empire" and it isn't even her that relays it to Tarkin. It's another Imperial trying to get the credit.

Yeah, but that was literally minutes before the station explodes. It's meant to be that moment where the aide tells Tarkin that they've analyzed the data and realized there's a weakness.

Just got back from Rogue One and it was pretty underwhelming.
None of the characters stuck out and they were all pretty dull. The story itself was just as boring even though we all knew what would happen. Hoped they wouldn't mention the force or at least allude to it but they brought it up at every turn. I'll just stick to the mainline movies

I had no idea lurking /swco/ was a prerequisite to considering yourself graduated from newfagness. Especially when /swco/ itself is still pretty much a new kid on the block, relatively speaking. It didn't even see the Mootpire declaring Order 66 on the Voldemort Show.
A far more sensible reaction is that since someone flat out said they haven't seen Rebels they probably don't know current canon, especially in light of supporting evidence from the rest of the comment.

The force isn't a theme. If anything the theme of Star Wars could be: family, destiny, and everything/one is capable of greatness.
The force does act as a more physical (in a sense) version of the destiny part, but that doesn't mean it's exclusive to the force. It's obvious that people in the Star Wars universe get by without knowing or believing in it so why not explore that aspect.

First he'd need to answer the problem of not knowing what kind of tractor beam is installed, if any. A Star Destroyer has a lot more than, say, that ship Han and Chewie were using in TFA, and the Death Star would have a more significant one still. I'm sure there's all kinds of variations.
Even then, it probably wouldn't matter since if you could capture that hammerhead then clearly you can exert a greater pull than their engines can produce at full sublight, so you'd be able to exert equivalent force. And in the depths of this rather weird argument nobody pointed out they'd need to pull it instead of push, which would be really fucking awkward. Unless they have a repulser beam to match their other repulser tech.

Well, it should be noted that the ones in Rebels, which are already stated by Pablo to be weaker (at least in their leg armor) as well as taller, they were able to sustain multiple torpedo hits from the Ghost to the mid-section. That said, the mid-section of AT-ACTs is a huge structural flaw waiting to happen given the massive hollow space and lack of support when the side doors are open.

Holy shit. These Stormtroopers are probably the worst that we've seen so far.
-get beaten by a guy with a stick in spite of them all having armor
-can't hit a guy who's walking slowly in a straight line. Wind up having to use a bazooka to do the deed after over a dozen missed shots
-running over a hill with a grenade instead of just lobbing it
-run toward a giant droid with a gun instead of shooting him from afar
-have the high ground and still get shot to death by a guy fifteen feet from them who was hanging on a pillar with one hand and was barely moving
What's the point of the armor? It clearly provides zero protection from ANYTHING.

On top of that they had people who clearly didn't see the movie getting up in arms about some /pol/-tier garbage of how the movie was anti-white because "there were literally no white rebels" and other such shit.

>>88498524
Can I get a pic of Tarkin please?
>>88500396
>Her fucking eyes don't move at all once her head raises
How does that creep you out? The lack of blinking? It is possible.
Her lack of eye movement? She's looking at space. What should she look at next, another random patch of space? The pilot's ass?

Jedi Academy/Young Jedi Knights
Kylo needs to have a love interest whose arm he accidentally dismembers
>>88501453
Would the battle count as a victory for the rebels ? A phyrric victory but still victory
Empire
>lost 2 full star destroyers
>everything on the surface after Tarkin blew up it
>the shield station
>neumrous tie fighters
>a high ranking officer
Rebels
>a dozen or so soliders + the ones that got BTFO by Vader
>dozens of fighters
>the cruiser
>a nebulon-b frigate
And then got away with the plans
>>88501163
One of the background ships from RotJ. Oddly, it hasn't appeared in anything else up until now.

Actually, from the angle it's at, the ship in front of the X-wing on the left looks a bit like the Outrider.

>>88501369
Yep.Shame it didn't survive the battle.
>>88501510

Eh, he was on the verge of being purged anyway.
>>88500229
i thought the tower got clipped in the middle by the death star beam, but shit that just took the fucking top off.
rest of the damn towers fine.... ive never laughed so hard and felt so bad at the same time for some one.
>>88500229
Being Krennic is suffering.
>>88499040
>Two Jedi and a Sith
Wrong. Kanan and Ezra are in the middle of light and dark with absolutely no intention of becoming peace keepers and Maul is a Dathomirian dark sider who wants to destroy the Sith. They can and likely will live on through the OT with no contradictions.
>>88501464
>>88501510
Phyrric implies the rebels lost more but still won, in sheer loss, the empire lost significantly more
How many imperials are imperial resources were destroyed with the surface base ?
>>88501510
Considering how big the crew of an ISD is, and this is probably the first time one has *ever* been destroyed since the Empire rose to power, I'd say yeah.
The only major loss was the MC-75 and the Frigate, and we've seen how low on the totem pole of capital ships Nebulon-Bs actually are.
>All these Anon's spelling it Rouge One
IT'S ROGUE! IT'S NOT THAT FUCKING HARD YOU DYSLEXIC SHITS
>>88501651
Doesn't one get destroyed in Lords of the Sith right in front of Vader and Palpatine?
>>88501674
Rouge
>>88501674
So, this isn't a movie about transvestites?
Fuck.
>>88501651
>the first time one has *ever* been destroyed since the Empire rose to power
Cham Syndulla's forces brought the first one down in Lords of the Sith. This is probably the first time two have been destroyed, though.
>>88501510

Imperial objective: defend the station
Rebels won

it was amazing
>>88501674
Calm down anon, come over here and play some Rouge Trader with us or something to take your mind off of it.
>>88501787
>>88501651
I'd consider the fact that the Imperial base had a shit ton of personnel, fighters, vehicles, technicians, scientists, engineers, resources, and production facilities - and Tarkin dropped the goddamn hammer on it to defeat the few rebels who were mostly dead anyway. And they STILL lost the plans.
At this point I can only imagine Sheev is just ramming his head into the tabletop over and over again while cursing the people around him.
>>88501855
Prego one
>>88501510
You know how many people it takes to man a battle ready ISD?
It's something like 30,000+
30,000x2 =60,000 guys ,
60,000+the shield station+everyone on the surface
They very well could of lost over 100,000 guys
>>88499625
I think so. Pretty sure they mention it in the newest Complete Locations book.
>>88501928
New canon has lower numbers for the ISD but still in the tens of thousands. You can see them in the visual guide, I think it is about 18-20k people
>>88501716
Were any Star Destroyers lost in Catalyst? Of course I don't think that would quite count anyway given Tarkin was engaged in planetary subjugation and not fighting a rebel insurgency.
>>88500229
the empire continues its total disregard of safety bars, even for planet destroying laser tubes.
>>88501926
Need pic of jyn/felicity smiling with prego stick now. You know those hands that are used with anime grills?
>>88501900
Not to mention what the base actually was - seemed like *the* repository of blueprints/schematics in the entire Empire, considering the level of security it had. So maybe they have off-world redundant backups, but they're going to have to re-assemble them from the many places they presumably had them.
>>88501928
My thoughts exactly. I bet the modified Mon Calamari cruisers are manned by much less people.
>>88501928
>100,000 guys
isnt that like a city block on coruscant?
>>88500229

>>88497208
And then she dumps Cassian for Luke?
>>88502142
When you consider that Galen probably tied the main reactor to the superlaser's kyber crystal reactors to facilitate the chain reaction, this maxim applies to Tarkin as well.
>>88502129
Weren't a lot of those names dropped also from Catalyst? I got the impression that the Empire basically was covering the construction of the Death Star by separating the projects that went into it. Like Galen working on Project Celestial Power which was just generating energy with the kybers without indicating the power being generated was going to go into planetary annihilation.
>>88502260
I definitely heard Pax Aurora which was a code name project in Catalyst.
>>88502131
I want to see one of those 1/2 power Death Star shots hit Couracant
That would be ons hell of a visual

>>88502306

>>88502285
They said single reactor ignition, so they're more like 1/8th power Death Star shots.
so when they were in the server tower vault room, they named off a lot of other projects besides the death star one.
any one catch any thing, none of the other project code names triggered me

dark saber was one of the names.

I guess I can sit at a desk or gunnery station then. Such is my hypothetical lot in spacelife.
>>88502391
didn't jyn said 'darksaber'?
i watched the dubbed version and she said something like 'black saber'
>>88502445
>>88502447
Yeah, it's probably a nod to Darksaber, but since that term now refers to something else in canon, they just called it Blacksaber
>>88502391
>darksaber

Half of these are probably vaporware designed to fool moffs into thinking the people on Scarif are doing any actual research.
>Oh, yeah... uh, we've got the Cluster Prism going! Making a lot of progress with that. Sooooooo you're going to continue funding us for another year, right? Excellent. We are honored by your support, Grand Moff Tarkin.
