The only way I can see this ever happening was if they merged the two through another cosmic reboot, but one across the multiverses of each.

Like, think about Crisis on Infinite Earths, but on LSD and with Marvel joining into the fray.

And even better? The villain that threatens their universes is both Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse as they hold Stan Lee and Jack Kirby with Joe Shuster and Jerry Seigel hostage, draining the creativity and imagination from their bodies.

It'd end with all the main universe broken, and and the only way to fix them is by re-fabricating the existences of both multiverses to weeve into one another as time goes on. The new universe would be different--but it's literally everything DC and Marvel has done, as if it's always been that way, and no one knows any better. Heck, you can even minorly influence other character's origins if you want, like, I dunno, have the flashy colored tights inspire the idea o a Super-hero to others, but more powerful characters define it, like Superman idolized cap and what he stood for, and decided that he wanted to do that, then have Spidey look at Supes, loking at Cap, and so on. Plus, having Supes and Cap being bros with Spidey would be cute.
