Nah, son. If I had powers I'd pick practical clothing. Comfortable to move in, indistinguishable in a crowd, makes life easy. Even if you need to go in heavy, a loose hoodie will hide your face and a bulletproof vest quite well and it won't freak people out like a damn colorful ski / spandex mask would. Lifegoals would include never gaining a "hero name" for people to creep on me with.

Assuming that fails, military equipment might work out well. If a guy in official looking threads shouted for you to leave because the area was dangerous, common sense wouldn't have them think twice about going.
