So how come he gets to be the champion of an Egyptian god if he is from the United States?
>>88446612
Because he died IN Egypt and was resurrected by khonshu.
>>88446262

We're all here, OP.
>>88446720
But it is.
That girl from the 2014 run met him.
And Hawkeye in the WCA, I think. At least, I'e read about it somewhere. One of these days I should read WCA.
Everybodies favorite schizophrenic batman!
>>88447567
>batman!
"I have never read a moon knight comic in my life"
>>88446512
H-how...
Bushman coming to the current run <3
>>88447590
Well, he is an uber rich guy whos alter ego is a dark street level hero who mainly uses a mix of martial arts and advanced tech, along with things like moon shurikens, moon themed vehicles, and has a trusty confidant who seems to worry about him
I'm not saying Moon Knight is Batman, but the comparison is far from being hard to imagine.....oh yeah, both have a fetish for the night....moon knight, dark knight, etc etc. On a surface level, Moon Knight is very much a "Batman", much much more than other Marvel characters who get called "Batmen" like say Daredevil and Iron Man
>>88446591
Moon Knight
>>88447981
Except for the fact his identities are all equally valid, none of which properly qualify as "him", simply aspects of the same avatar
>>88447956
Who's Bushman?
I'm a casual Moon Knight fan. Always sorta liked the character, and I really liked him and started buying the comic when Ellis started writing it. (I've dropped it recently, but only because of money issues)
>>88448171
"Arch-nemesis"
Moony carved his face off
>>88448171
Bushman was Moon Knight/Marc Spector's first villain, the mercenary leader/drug lord/weapons trafficker yadda yadda that left him to die in the desert which resulted in him being rescued by Konshu
>>88447981
The main difference is that Batman is just really bad with relationships and is a workaholic.
Moon Knight is LITERALLY insane.
>>88447981
But apart from really basic surface level comparison, they're nothing alike.
A batman story and a moon knight story read very, very differently.
>>88448639
>Moon Knight is LITERALLY insane.
That, or he's just the avatar of an ancient god who is in fact a real entity
>>88447981
Both cape heroes share an inheritance and legacy that comes from the 20 and even older pulp and victorian heroes. And the 30's in the case of modern Batman. Personality wise, background wise, and almost everything that is not related to fighting and use of aesthetics is nothing alike. You can say they both have them in common the use of a motif (bats / moon) as their most visual feature, but even that is quite common in cape overall (see: spider motif for Spiderman, lighting for Flash, etc).
>>88449068
Most superheroes don't currently pull from the pulp hero ideas, but that of other comic books.
Ellis' Moon Knight was the first American comic I actually read (only ever owned one comic before and that was #20 of Ultimate Spider-Man, I never got any more after that), so Moon Knight is an adult favourite of mine. He really needs more love and Ellis needs to come back. A Netflix series would be rad if done right too.
>>88448171
Archenemy, or closest thing to it along with Black Specter.
Last seen in the first arc of Vengeance of Moon Knight and a cameo in Civil War II: Kingpin.
>>88448783
You forget the third option: he is the insane avatar of an ancient god who is in fact a real entity.
>>88450144
I think this is the approach they're finally trying.
I'm actually the Anon from about wo to three days ago asking if anyone could give me recommendations on MK. Out of all the comics I've read so far, he's by far my favorite.
>>88448783
The two aren't mutually exclusive.
>>88447981
In honesty I think the reason its pushed because Batman is obviously much more popular, so people get a general idea and assume because hs rich It's a Rip off of batman
