His 'best friend' Harrison is always with him, they travel the world together, he constantly mentions him in interviews, he even got him a job on set as his personal assistant so they would always be together. Plus, they haven't even attempted a publicity girlfriend for him. It's like an open secret. Supposedly his publicist advised against coming out because that wouldn't be good for his chances at getting roles after Spider-Man.
Also I don't like to dip into stereotypes but Tom definitely seems gay, he's even got a bit of a lisp.

Didn't we decide that, at this point, high-school-aged Spidey WOULD read manga? It's 2016 and Peter is a nerd. He's probably a massive weeaboo. I bet he even browses /a/.

or maybe ease him in with Arise, sure it doesn't make any sense timeline wise but its the most casual of the series.
>>
>>88435766
Only the dankest, rarest of memes will do for Spider-Man.

Man, this actually makes too much sense. Peter gets his trollish sense of humor from browsing image boards. Wearing the mask lets him basically post as Anon IRL.
>>
>>88435800
Tony could also buy him the colored hardcover versions of Akira, all of Mobile Suit Gundam the Origin and that nifty Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind box-set.
And then Petey can read while he's ramming aunt May.

why would peter be ramming his own aunt?
>>
>>88435881
Her aunt is a single parent with a body that still requires tender loving dickings.
>>
>>88435819
That's assuming he'd even be willing to buy that kind of shit for him. Even if Peter could ask for all we know Tony could just buy him a text book or something instead as a joke.

From what I saw in the trailer he seems to not want anything to do with him. Now whether he actually finds Pete annoying and is only putting up with him cause he's another metahuman on his side or he just does not want to get close and attached so when the kid gets seriously injured like Rhodey he won't be hurting so much himself. Who knows.
>>
>>88435848
its just the lighting
>>
>>88435900
Tom Holland said in a recent interview that he's a bit of a father figure, so he's definitely not annoyed about him. Probably the latter explanation is more plausible.

frankly alot of shots from the trailer looked weird, actually, spider-man looked like complete CGI in every single scene.

What are the chances that this is seriously being discussed? The previous two worked with Sony, they could get them back, couldn't they? It would also be the only way to give Tobey and Andrew's Spider-Men some closure.
>>
>>88433805
>getting ghost uncensored
GEE tony, it must be cool to be fucking rich.

viz a shit
>>
>>88437004
probably
>>
>>88437042
I used to question the possibility of the avengers and civil war. As the way we are now nothing is impossible.

Also Sony already planned Tobey vs Andrew in the leaked email anyway. And they can just rewrite whatever the heck they want out of established character. Maybe toss in Miles and Gwen and Silk too?
>>
>>88437092
I hope they bring back Emma Stone as Spider-Gwen. She was one of the best parts of the Amazing Spider-Man. Had really good chemistry with Andrew Garfield, and the conflict seeing her again would bring is so interesting.
>>
>>88437042
>>88437092
If they do bring back Toby and Andrew I hope they have them be from a number of years after their last movies. Have them be older Spider-Men that have been at it for a lot longer than Tom. Just don't have them try to play their Spider-Men just five minutes after 3/Amazing 2.
>>
>>88437132
Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for, too. I think it would be a necessity anyway because of how old they'd be. Tobey would probably be nearing 50, which would make his Spider-Man really interesting.
>>
>>88437143
It'd be nice if they tried to make Tobey look like MC2 Pete, just don't give him a limp. Tried to find the page where MC2 Pete and MJ talk about someone looking like Tobey but no luck.
>>
>>88437143
>>88437132
If they're game, I'm game.

But the SM1-3 and TASM2 suit look too close to each other at a glance so Garfield is stuck with his lesser suit. Unless of course they've both moved on to different suits.
>>
>>88437178
They probably would tweak his costume a bit since it's years after the last Spider-Man movie, so you could get your wish. Though I don't know if they'd want to change it too much for fear of making it unrecognizable.
>>88437188
Tobey and Garfield have very different body types, though. Garfield is much slimmer than Tobey, would that make a difference in viewers being able to tell?
>>
>>88433523
>>88433567
I still don't get why everyone has an issue with this line. How else would you expect a 15 year old to describe a work of fiction to a bunch of adults in their 40s and 50s?
>>
>>88437203
Closeups no but medium and long shots maybe?
>>
>>88437226

>>
>>88437226
Even if he is 15 he should kinda know just how prevalent Star Wars is in pop culture. It just seemed more like Disney going

>Hey, remember how we bought Star Wars?
>>
>>88437226
I liked the line too, but it did kind of seem like something an adult wrote as a, "Ha! Don't you feel so old? This kid is calling Star Wars an old movie!' kind of thing. I'm the same age as Tom and a fan of Star Wars and it's just not something that sounds like what a fifteen year old would say.
>>
>>88437236
If anything, have a lot of butt closeups just in case. People will know which one is Andrew Garfield.
>>
>>88437236
Would they go for that for the whole movie?
>>
>>88437203
Just have the costumes be new for the both of them. So when they're unmasked the "What the fuck" factor is enhanced.
>>
>>88437246
>>88437249
>>88437250
My personal headcanon is that he didn't want to come off as too much of a nerd and just described it in the vaguest way possible.Besides, Star Wars may have been a big deal but that doesn't mean that everyone felt that way about it.In fact, at least Wanda, Widow and Panther seem like they wouldn't know/care about Star Wars
>>
