This issue, for whatever reason, is a prequel issue. We'll be getting back to the present next issue, apparently.

Really like the art in this issue. The current artist feels like they're trying too hard to imitate Kerschl's style but you can tell something is off about it.

I found this issue weird.
Usually the comic starts with some supernatural mystery that turns out to be something from Batman, like the were-beast being Manbat serum or the witch using Hatter-tech.
But this one just straight up had ghosts and demons. Why the break in formula?

The annual had a simple Vampire, among other things.
