Why do you think an aggressively average and cynical animated movie getting a C rating is something great?

Shit, the movie itself DOESN'T MATTER. It could be 90 minutes of the title characters farting at the screen and it would make the same amount of money. The thing getting asses in seats is the combination of cast names people recognize, animals, inoffensive pop music, and christmas.

Actually I like Pop Music I'm pretty sure most people are hating this movie do to Illumination's mediocre-or-minions levels of quality and the fact that aside from the animals there isn't really anything that stands out about the movie, it looks very by the numbers and although cute at parts it's probably just mediocre.
