It's the Hulk draw. Hulk teaming up with Thor and having crazy battles will draw people. Plus no boring Jane.

Not fixed. Lego Batman has no competition in February, GotG has the same spot as Civil War, Transformers films have been getting dimishing domestic returns for each film, Spider-Man is in the middle of the summer and Thor 3 has no competition until Justice League.

jesus christ
No way no how Spider-Man doesn't make a billion
>>88387775
None of the Spider-Man films have made a billion.
>>88388210
Neither had either of the Iron Mans until the third one did.
Also, billion dollar movies weren't really a thing during the Raimi series. There were only 7 billion dollar BOs before 2010, and SM3 still made nearly 900million.
PLUS, there's the Marvel bump, which will help big time. Spider-man was just in a billion dollar movie. He's going to have Iron Man, who has been in four now. Doctor Strange is already at $650m, and he's a nobody with no guest stars.
Looking at the calendar, War of the Planet of the Apes is the only real competition it has in July.
Spider-man isn't by any means guaranteed, but there's a GREAT chance of it happening. All the pieces are in place.
Reminder that after 15 years and 7 movies, Furious 7 made $1.5billion. Yeah, Paul Walker's death helped, but the series still went from making $150mil in #3 to almost $800mil in #6, and then doubling that for #7.
