As others have pointed out there have been multiple gay characters for marvel. Hell with USAvengers have they forgotten about Billy Kaplan and his Skrull shapeshifting boy toy. Hell in Runaways the sparkle chick was a lesbian and got with a skrull shapeshifter too. Mystique and Destiny were a thing too with the Cuckoos experimenting with each other as well.
