This was from like 2012 back when The Lorax came out. Just like the other two animated films Audrey Giesel is the executive producer, so I'm guessing she wanted to see a proper movie adaptation for the book.
There's nothing else about that one upcoming film, though. Who knows if they're even still making it.

Not like how I like any other pre-2010s Pixar movie, but I enjoy it as it's own thing. That sort of americana, roadtrip nostalgia, classic cars, long highways, little highwayside towns, gorgeous landscape, sunsets, Life is a Highway. It brings back some really powerful memories, and one of my favorite aesthetics.
>>88365430
This!
People say that Cars didn't have that quintessential "Pixar moment" but it really did. The nostalgia of seeing such a lively town getting slowly abandoned and outright erased from the map, seeing how the shops downtown went from filled of customers to abandoned is kind of sad.

>>88365014Sausage Party only really has one sense of humor and that's DUDEWEEDLMAO. I mean, I like it as much as the next guy but it doesn't make for very clever situations or characters, everything in the movie is trying to be as edgy as possible and it's just cringeworthy.
The whole idea of family-friendly designs doing and saying vulgar things is nothing new, so it's not like this movie could claim to be innovative in any way, shape or form. The whole allegory to religion is also overdone and something that other adult cartoons probably did much, much better.
Really it's embarrassing that this is the "adult" animated film of the year when it's so incredibly immature. It's nothing new, you're better off just watching Family Guy.

Yeah. I mean back in the 80s most people didn't give a shit since to see Daphne's nips, you had to play to get to the end. And this was an arcade game meant to be a quarter eater, so getting to the end at all took time and money.
A movie, sadly the possible last Don Bluth Movie before his death maybe, is obviously going to tone her design down. most likely still keep her sex appeal, but not model her after a Playgirl Model kind of appeal.
