To be fair, that is one of the few areas I'm finding myself satisfied with the new Disney canon. They are showing Vader plenty of respect.

Overall I prefer the original EU if only due to the size of it, the quality of some of it's better entries (like Shatterpoint and the KOTOR comic), and nostalgia.

But, frankly, Rebels and TFA are already pretty much worth following a different more bland background. As long as I can enjoy the on-screen entries, and no one burns my Legends collection, I'm good. I'm enjoying Kylo Ren almost as much as Luke and Vader after one film, so I'm looking forwards to the ride.
