>>88336837
giant blue aliens whose females wear nipple-revealing shirts commit genocide against humans, then the humans discover that the aliens trip acid and send their souls to a different planet where giant statues dance as part of a mating ritual
the whole thing is a metaphor for the threat of nuclear war
>>88336985
what this good guy said
>>88336871
care to share what about it you liked?
d-does /co/ want to talk about what other movies they like??
watched this years ago on those shitty french classes and hated it, then liked and then thought it was just ok.
it was that special kind of weird sci fi, but not weird enough
>>88339492
hi anon.. can you please scholl me on what's going on
This whole idea of giant blue aliens with freaky fish eyes seeing human beings as pests and treating them like that felt pretty fucked up. I thought the movie was strange and disturbing, but I liked it anyway.
i though the timescales of their lives was intersting as well
>>88337570
$9.99
watch it
>>88341143
what's that?
Advanced human holocaust part was quite revealing for a 10 year old me.
>>88336759
I tried watching it high but I took too much and had to turn it off twenty minutes in to it
Really dig the music though
>>88341200

It's like a Trippy attack on titan.
It's good, so probably not.
Ask again about something terrible. Bojack Horseman, maybe.
>>88336759
FUCK, I haven't seen this in almost a decade
>>88336759
/co/ is not patrician enough for this kino
>>88342012
good to know!
>>88341832

>>88336985

This is news to me. Is it, really, or are you just taking a wild guess?
>>88342269
i can't believe that the got the guy who did the wall to do hercules.
>>88342012
They're not aristocratic enough for this cinema?
What are you saying anon, you make no sense.
>>88336759
I thought it was a masterpiece.
Love the french voice acting too, really ads some charme to it.
>>88336759
I like it.
>>88336907
It's Madlib, isn't it? Because, Madlib loves this movie.

>>88342269
Same director on both those films, Rene Laloux. Watch Gandahar and you'll have seen all his feature length animated films
>>88343204
He also made some shorts.
>>88336759
I vaguely remember watching parts of it on either HBO or Cinemax.
we watched it as part of a Science Fiction course. Other movies we watched included Brazil, Slaughterhouse 5, Alien, Being There, Blade Runner, and Solaris
Well I liked it enough to own both the Anchor Bay DVD and the Criterion Blu-ray, does that answer your question?
>>88343465
yes
>>88336985
>the whole thing is a metaphor for the threat of nuclear war
I never get this about anti nuke shit, its always one sided, always showing the polution and destruction like its a big asshole whos taunting them instead of just suicide, straight up suicide.
But then again the anti nuke loby was creepily cultish and hardly cared about the end goal, rather just wanted to sit and yell while big dady protected them.

GAS THE DROGGS
OM-WAR NOW!
