Well, the aforementioned liberty with time travel.

Maybe not so much plot holes as huge artistic license.

The Mapmakers being adaptoids, is I think the only thing that remained consistent across the whole story.

Why do storytimes and reading orders start with New Avengers even though the first few issues of Avengers precedes it? Yes it's first chronologically, but if it was intended to be read first wouldn't it have been released first?
