I don't know what she did or did not have a direct hand in, or what initiatives she inherited. But she's the captain of the ship, so CN's current direction is going to be associated with her, and it's characterized by:

-Homogenized, boring house animation and design style that is cheaply and hurriedly executed.

-Poorly conceived reboots that offend new and returning viewers.

-Disagreeable pilot pick ups/passes.

I'm not even sure if she's being too hands on, or too lax. But there's a quality problem at CN right now, and as its big shows come to an end, it's going to blow up. Nick has a huge hit, Disney has a solid show they can milk for a while and hit movies they can easily adapt. CN needs a new hit, but it can't be another Adventure Time or Regular Show clone, and it definitely must not look like nuPPG.

I'm very appreciative. But if the quality didn't drop and Cartoon Network is now about to lose a total of three quality, hugely popular cartoons that are responsible for the network's success over the past 6 years... it just doesn't make sense to me that they would cancel it. It's not like other new, better, more popular cartoons have swooped in and there's no longer any room for it. They're replacing a classic heavy hitter with absolutely nothing (and even if they were I'd question why they couldn't just cut the budget and keep going)

Bottom line is that there are real world reasons beyond evil CEO hates your toons for why the show died when it did. They could also save money by cutting the music down to 8 bit beep boop and cardboard animation, but you reach a point where the show just enters shit/over-the-shark mode and isn't the same any more. Adventure Time I believe is hitting this wall with all the stupid twists and turns it tries to introduce.

Just enjoy what you got and move on.

Possibly in a roundabout way. As a woman in power she's probably conductive to giving more women opportunities and allowing them greater reign in the various cartoons they work on. Those women in turn are largely very liberal and are going to inject their world views into the cartoons they work on. I don't know if she ever sat down and said "we need more grrrl power in cartoons!" but she probably facilitated it and I doubt she objected to going in that direction. From what I've heard she sounds like more of a mom than a tumblr tier feminist. She thinks cartoons are for kids so she wants safe inoffensive fare.

Ha. No. Like I said Snyder toned it down but he never turned it off. Snyder had horrible taste. I'll give him credit for finally realizing it was animation that was successful on the network and actually helping set up a new generation of creators but he was also responsible for pushing away all of CNs established creators. Ones who were arguably much better than the current crop. The best years of CN were pre2000. Back when they were more daring and willing to take chances and did more to foster new and original content.
