Find me a comic that nobody will seriously defend.
>>88309983
The Doom comic.
>>88310025
Come on, man.
>>88309983
The cover redhead was fucking hot though
the unfunnies.
>>88309983
Maybe that one where Dr. Doom cries over 9/11.
>>88310567
Eh, aside from the scene with the villains, the story itself is fine.
>>88309983
Except for Quesada
I jerked it to Trouble at least 4 times
>>88310548
dont think so, its generic cheesecake
>>88309983
So what was bad about it?
>>88310912
This is just the right amount of fucked up to become a banner material for /co/.
>>88310913
You say that like it's a bad thing.
>>88310561
Literally the best Grant Morrison biopic in comic form ever published
>>88309983
Harley Quinn
Bomb Queen
>>88310551
Eisner nominated.
Fuck, this thread reminds me of a couple years back when /co/ marathoned a bunch of God awful comic series including Trouble and Unfunnies. What a time that was.
>>88311619
that happens every year, newfag.
>>88311624
>Newfag
Nah m8, I just drift in and out of comics. Guess I'd missed it before
>>88311678
>>88311678
I bet you missed the days of SDCC.
>>88310919
In one issue it completely derails from wahtever the plot was into some completely unrelated evolution allegory and the letterer gives up even trying to put the words into the speech bubbles, instead opting to just paste the script over the images on each page. I don't know if it gets any worse after that because I lost the will to keep reading
>>88309983
JLA Act of God
JLA Created Equal
Whom Gods Destroy
Amazons Attack
>>88312108
I can think of at least one person who would defend Amazons Attack
>>88310567
>where Dr. Doom cries over 9/11
He's just sad because he was planning his own and muslims did it first.
>>88310889
Is there a story? All I remember was sad scene after sad scene.
Btw stuff like Dr. Doom crying would kill anything regardless of its quality.
>>88310912
>>88310928
And this moment has now been saved for posterity.
>>88312087
Fourth issue is basically the same, but with dinosaurs (except the script thing, that doesn't happen again)
Fifth issue is the same with humans, except it tries to pretend that it's still a parody, so they make Wolverine the first human.
Sixth issue is the main guy pitching his experiences to a comics editor, who denies him. It's essentially Jemas justifying what happened/venting through the main character.
Last issue isn't really an issue. And yes, I only know that because of Linkara.
>>88310081
It was being satirical, bro.
>>88312342
So what if someone jerked to Trouble? Its about hot teens banging around. It's hardly something taboo. Stop acting like its some "/co/ in a nutshell thing". /co/ is much sicker than that.
>>88312887
You forgot to mention that said dinosaurs happen to be Jewish.
Because Bill Jemas is apparently smoking some serious shit the rest of us haven't even heard of.
>>88309983
i honestly cant think of a single person who can defend ultimatum
Nemesis
>>88310933
>lubrication services
I kek´d
Avengers Arena
>>88310025
Doom is short form perfection.
>>88312907
>its not bad!!!
>its just satire :-)
>>88310928
the point of banners is for everyone to understand them
>>88314851
I've seen people on /co/ seriously defending that.
Ultimatum?
>>88314851
>Tch, nothin' personnel, kid.
>"Welcome to Murder World."
Seriously with this shit? The edge, it bleeds.
>>88315533
that and identity crisis
though, Ultimatum had some decent tie-ins
>>88312972
These are funny though.
>>88314851
Who decided that Superhero comics, you know — for kids, have to have death in them? You don't need death to raise the stakes, just have the heroes fail some times. Have a bunch of exceptionally clever bank robbers fool Batman and get away with it. Have some billionaire do horribly heinous but still legal shit and just shove it in Supes face without him being able to do something about it without breaking the law himself. That sort of shit is enough. Why did grimdark and drama replace fun and adventure? And then they wonder why children don't want to read their comics anymore.
>>88317074
AND THE ANSWER IS.
"Watchmen" and "The Dark Knight Returns" sold like fucking hotcakes. And still do.
That's why.
>>88314851
Nothing in that shitshow will beat pic related.
>>88310548
That's what I wanted to say. The covers were fun.
>>88310551
The art was good
>>88310912
Who is trouble?
>>88310025
You take that back right now you son of a bitch
>>88313788
Nemesis is hilarious. It's so awesomely bad it comes right back around to great.
>>88317508
Maybe it's because I have no attachment to the character, but that's actually kind of funny.
>>88312108
Whom Gods Destroy was funny.
Everything else is hot garbage, though
>>88309983
I can't justify the waste of Rivera art imitating the 80s style.
>>88314851
my fucking sides.
>>88317848
Aunt May gettin my rocks off
>>88317074
Why does it have to be one or the other? Usagi Yojimbo is full of murder, still a fun adventure.
>>88309983
I fucking can't bro, the other day someone storytimed "Irresistible", some comic about a guy magically becoming irresistible to women, which is about the shittiest thing I've ever seen and some dudes where actually defending it.
>>88319656
>implying it's murder if you're killing characters that no one cares about
>>88312972
Chick has gotten plenty of unironic love from people who don't agree with him.
>>88310912
What the hell man, get some standards for fuck's sake!
>>88313788
I don't know, it was so retarded i laughed so it's not all bad if in that one specific way
>>88309983
Only virgins will defend this.
>>88310561
This was legitimately so bad it was good for me.
>>88323609
And only faggots will hate it.
>>88317074
It's because of "death doesn't exist in comics" meme. Marvel's miscalculation was that when you make a complete opposite of something it does not make it good, it makes it a reflecion of same mistake, when answer lies in something in-between.
[UNSOLICITED OPINIONS ON ISRAEL?]
>>88320726
i wish it hadn't happened
>>88325881
It put her into the mainstream. Even if it isn't very good, it's lead to tons of publicity and means the character can be used elsewhere.
Frankly I kinda like it, though I'd never defend the art.
>>88317524
So, what level photo-bashing is going on there, anyway? Her hand still looks like the photo he traced, especially when over a poorly drawn six pack of beer.
>>88309983
>>88310551
>Gay for Justice
