So I check in with Marvel once or twice a year (I don't really like reading individual issues so even if I'm liking a run I tend to take a break when I'm caught up). Last time Vision, Uncanny Avengers and Ant-Man were doing it for me, so I'm going to catch up on those.
As for new stuff: recs? I've already tried the first issues of Avengers and Ultimates^2, both shit, and Death of X, which was fine. I noticed there were a bunch of characters I don't know anything about getting their own books for Marvel NOW 2016, and I don't even know where to start with those.
Thoughts on Marvel NOW 2.0 so far?

why is young bruce springsteen holding iron man's helmet?

Read the Unworthy Thor mini series.
Don't need to know much back ground besides Thor being unworthy of his main hammer and that the hammer of Ultimate Thor has come to rest in the main Marvel Universe after Secret Wars.

But seriously, Ultimates was good and Ultimates^2 won't make any sense if you don't read it first.
Nova's looking good, Moon Knight's been a wild ride, U.S.Avengers should be good.
Oh yeah, and Black Widow, that shit was great.

Ah, good idea, I'm curious about that one. I REALLY did not like Aaron on FemThor (nothing political, I just found it fucking trite, hookless and inconsistent), but he also did Doctor Strange recently and some of that was really good.

Yeah, man. Nothing special, just fine. Art was decent. Pretty sensible point of contention between the groups. Pretty good way forCyclops to go out.

Did you read Aaron's Thor work before fem Thor?
God Butcher/God Bomb?
If no go read 1-12 of God of Thunder right now its incredible.

I would like to be able to understand why people like Ultimates. I guess it's just the cosmic scope. Everything else is horrible. This is just one of the first pages I came to (scrolling backwards through the last issue). Everyone fucking announcing what is going on in the panels like a comic from the 60s. "This is bad"? Black Panther explaining his attack. What is this shit?

I like this.
Haven't seen much stealth action in comics.
anyone tried Thanos or Infamous Iron Man yet?
>>88263349
That's just the setup for the joke on the next page, man.
>>88263207
Moon Knight is looking good already :)
>>88263551
Yeah, killer joke. Really worth all this excruciating dialogue. "...things have CHANGED, Panther." Fuck, I hate this comic.
>>88263567
Moon Knight has been consistently good aside from Bendis in recent years.

The art's the only good thing about it.
