The Marvel vs Capcom series statrted with the X-Men: Children of the Atom fighting game and until MVC2 it was heavily populated by X-Men characters, a true "Mutant Wank".

The DC vs SNK series should start with Batman and family and go from there.

Oh god, that game. One of the few licensed fighting games on the SNES that isn't even fun in a broken way, just tedious. It's a damn shame.

Acclaim should have stuck to vidya; wrestling games may have gotten them screwed over, but it was their dalliance with cross-media that got them killed.
