The stories are often weak, but man do they ever make it up with the animation. Recently saw The Pirates. Didn't care much for the story, fantastic style and animation.

Lots of people on 4chan seem unwilling to view films as visual pieces which boggles my mind

Everything about stop motion is so appealing to me...I've been considering going back to school for animation or illustration, but I'm not sure.

Who /Gumby/ here?

I honestly think a new, modern Gumby movie would do really well if it was given to the right people. Something Lego movie-esc. I think Max Landis is the right kind of out-there/crazy to make a good one.
