Infinity Wars is already filming, and will do so for the next 9 months. If they were going to do something different for Avengers 4, we'd be able to pick up on the clues like actors and role calls being made.

I think that both the films involve Thanos, its that they complete one story, then pick it up again.

Not exactly. Infinity War (no s) is not going to be a two part story. We're getting two movies between Infinity War and Avengers 4 that further set up events for Avengers 4 and beyond. Avengers 4 will be to Infinity War as Age of Ultron was to Avengers 1. It will continue, or conclude, some story elements/arcs from Infinity War, but not be a second half of a singular story.

No we wouldn't. Both films are being made simultaneously. There's practically no way to distinguish between if they'd be doing something different or doing a two-parter. But Marvel Studios has stated that it isn't a two-parter. Just because we can't distinguish between what applies to which film specifically doesn't mean that they're not still two stand alone films.

Lord of the Rings, the Pirates of the Caribbean sequels, the Matrix sequels, all filmed simultaneously and all were direct continuations of each other without being called "two parters." And yet, no other series has filmed simultaneously WITHOUT both/all the movies being a direct narrative continuation.

That's all it is. It makes absolutely zero sense to film them simultaneously if they're not. It's just a PR move to distance them from certain box office failures and to paint the branding away from making it look like you have to watch them in order, but they'll still essentially follow the same overarching plot.
