The thing that bugged me the most about this episode is how the starting plot is basically dropped halfway through for a new one.
They could've easily kept the "Bart trying to be a good student" plot running throughout the entire episode and it would've turned out decent, but instead they just had to shove in the fake murder and Skinner being called a shit plot.

There were a bunch of paradoxes but I think thy were all solved in one way or another:
The whole Area 51 thing was just forgotten and never documented clearly so it would only be know by UFO hobbyists/fanatics, the Benders in the basement of Planet Express were solved in the movies when they disappeared and created the large tear in the universe, the one trying to kill Fry exploded and killed Lars. The Bender in the Simpson's basement exists only in the Simpsons.
Any additional paradoxes were avoided when Fry, the Professor, and Bender cycled through the universe in The Late Philip J. Fry and ended up killing their duplicates.

As far as I can tell, and from what I can remember, Futurama ended without any major paradoxes.

The current season airing now has little to no gore, at worse Peter gets bruised and a nosebleed. The threads for it have also noticed this

No matter who it is the show would inevitably decline. Nothing can remain great forever, and this show is nearly 30. Even getting the 8 or so glory years it has is a pretty unusual feat. Almost no show stays good for even that long, let alone for another 20 years.

The newer episodes aren't as interesting because there are more things that I remember from the current year

As much as I love The Simpsons, I think Futurama will always be my favorite.
Where as it's clear that The Simpsons has dragged on and has lost a lot of its charm, Futurama had a good run and ended. Then got a second run and ended just as satisfyingly.

Burns-as-antagonist stopped being the case almost immediately after the "Who Shot Mr. Burns" episodes. That's not to say it never happened again, but it did happen way less frequently even that season.

Probably a combination of "he already blocked out the fucking sun, what more do you want from us" and the writers liking the idea of making more jokes about him being old/senile/using anachronistic dialogue/etc. That was always sort of a thing but it kind of immediately swung from being, like, 5% of his character to 95%.

I thought the Comedy Central seasons were good. A few episodes were stinkers, but it wasn't a constant decline. The amount of good, or at least okay, episodes outweighed the bad and justified the additional seasons for me.
