Re/co/mmended wikia needs more recommendations.

Occasionally useful, but should always be taken with a grain of salt especially when no adequate sources are listed. The main problem with wikis is that the people who care the most about actually filling them are generally the worst kind of autists.

I absolutely love it when character pages have things like "master martial artist" and an absolutely insignificant example is used to "back up" that claim.

Wallawheegamiichalleo was created when a guy named Fusawheeo made an attempt to fuse any clone that he could find. After finding some clones of Walleo, Awheeo, Weegee, Ragamiicho, and Malleo, he quickly rounded them up and sent him to his farm. The clones made an attempt to run for it, but they ended up getting tazered before they get out. After which, Fusawheeo proceeeded to fuse the five clones together, creating...this thing you see to your right.

As someone who ran a wiki for years, it can be very self-indulgent in cataloguing things.

That example on the image is the kind of thing I tried my best to avoid, though articles on in-jokes and memes regarding the wiki's subject prop up from time to time. Historical figures like Reagan are a gray area. Good thing my wiki's subject barely uses the,.

I like them, I was able to look up lots of Space Dandy trivia earlier today thanks to the wikia. They have a lot of information you can't find anywhere else, since Wikipedia is for more general information.
