Also, the character was not Micheal Jackson, he was just a fat guy from Jersey that liked to sing like Jackson. Just another random oddball in the Simpsons universe.

The episode wasn't even about him, Homer's A plot was being deemed insane and the B plot was Bart forgetting Lisa's birthday. Jackson's character affected both stories but wasn't the focal point of either.

I don't hate Lady Gaga. That episode was just terrible.
Needlessly putting down a character, having barely any jokes, and pandering to a celebrity to the point that every character is treating them like an actual deity.
It wasn't a clever commentary or interesting portrayal. It was straight up masturbation for Lady Gaga. An episode that in a few years time will have absolutely no relevance.

It may not be the worst written episode of the Simpsons, but it's the worst because it wasn't even an episode of the Simpsons.
