The webbing is prominent, the textures are not. It looks like it's make out of rubber.
>colours are good
They're not bad.

Comes off looking more like an ant.
>nah fuck it, lets cgi over it all making it into a bland, textureless computerized looking costume
They CGI's over it to employ a much better design.
>oh and lets make the logo a tick while we're at it

Looks more like a spider than an ant. And gets bonus points for the added subtle symbolism.

Compared to the prototype practical costume they had for him in Civil War? Because the new one doesn't look like it came out of Tim Burton superhero fantasy.

I'm not saying they look better than those. I'm saying it looks better than the prototype suit they had Holland and his stunt guy wear for Civil War.

I think the new suit looks just as good as the previous iterations, except for the ASM1 piece of shit. I like the new one because it's obviously different from the previous versions, but is still faithful to the classic design.

Because it has all the basic design elements in it. It just has added details to make it look better in a real life setting, Raimi and ASM2 suits, because a straight from the page adaptation would not look as good. I.E. those stupe-ass cheap looking bodysuits cosplayers wear.

That's just your opinion. While some of the new details may be unnecessary, they don't look dumb in the least.

>the outfit has already been perfected, there's no need to change it
There is. It was a good suit, but we don't need sameshit again like ASM2 suit did with being the same thing as the Raimi suit, only with slight differences. A new approach was very much needed.
>>
when we gon' get armpit webbing back?
i wouldnt mind if it was cgi, it would kind of have to be in order to look right

i also like how whenever it comes to iconic costumes, the one part that we usually dislike or at least agree should be changed is whatever the original icon was. superman's original terrible S, spider-man's terrible old cartoony spider,
batman was okay but a lot of us like the yellow oval so there's that at least.
>>

True, but they don't bother me in the least. The lines are fine.
> It doesn't even match the aesthetic.
They're not even obscuring the overall design as a whole.

>Why?
Because it's a different movie in a different canon. So long as they use the basic design elements from the comics, it's better they do something different to set it apart from it's predecessors. And they did just that. It's true to the classic design, but clearly different from from the previous suits.
>>

Do you honestly people are so stupid that they won't be able to figure that out? Regardless, they still could have done that. Chose between different artists to base it off of.

>>
>>88156339
Alright for real though, this suit sucks. I don't fucking know why every single movie, the hero needs a new costume. Just fucking pick one and stick with it. Cap's AoU suit was fucking fantastic but they had to change it for Civil War. Hawkeye looked nice in AoU but he needed to change for Civil War too. Thor is always getting small changes and none of them are the ones that people actually want to see. Now we get this piece of shit Spidey costume? Look, I know that they don't want to copy another studio or movie or whatever, but it's painfully obvious that Rami knew what he was doing with the Spider-Man 2 and 3 suit. Just give us that or as close as they can get without running into studio issues. Every costume we've seen since Spider-Man 3 has sucked ass. I didn't think it could get worse than ASM's basketball suit, but this took the case. God damn.

> Yeah it is.
It's not. The basic pattern is still very obvious.

>Do you honestly people are so stupid that they won't be able to figure that out?
It's not a matter of the audience lacking intellect. It's purely that the same costume from the previous movies would be boring and tedious to look at. Something new is a much better road to go.

>No, it's really not.
It very much is. The web pattern is there, clear to see, the shape of the reds and the blues are all where they ought to be. The extra black bits don't obscure them in the least. I honestly see no justification to get angry about them. It's almost as if you're shitposting.

>>
>>88158951
>I don't fucking know why every single movie, the hero needs a new costume

Merchandising. It gives marketing an excuse to make new toys and whatnot.

Though technically, Thor used the same costume in TDW and AoU. And Hawkeye did the same with Avengers 1 and AoU.

Just a weird thing I've noticed, but why does Sony ALWAYS shove in a prototype suit? Is it somewhere in the contract?

I know it's kind of trope in capeshit, but it as really prominent in TASM, like he had no need to have a prototype suit and it's never explained where he got the upgrade from.

In the raimi films it makes sense and in civil war it does too, but how comes every time we see Spider-Man for he first time he's wearing something slapped together?

the black lines give the appearance of a spider's segmented legs.

i'm definitely liking this suit more the more that i see of it, although it definitely feels more like a 'spidey gone tacticool' suit rather than 'spiderman proper'. i don't mind it since it actually fits his character as he's constantly making gadgets and improvements to his suit.

i do really like the raised webbing and more spidery spider of the test suit. the new 'spider sense' spider logo needs to be bigger imo because it's too small to even tell that it's supposed to be a spider, much less an upper torso and head with spidey senses.

Don't you mean they are? And it really does annoy me. Especially since whenever they adapt something now, they adapt based of the movies, not...you know...what the movies were adapted from. Also, fuck the infinity """stones""", why couldn't they be called gems and why couldn't you get the colors right?
>>
>>88161860
Sjw whaaaaaat?
>>
>>88166148
i'm still hoping it turns out to be a plot point that the stones have been misidentified.

the cube makes more sense as a cosmic cube since it can make batteries and super guns as well as open portals.

the blood thing in thor 2 makes more sense as a power gem, not just because it's the right color but because it gave malekith super powers instead of giving him the ability to rewrite reality. dude got pushed into a portal and gave up because he didn't have the right gem.

the purple thing that blasted ronan and that poor slave girl could be the space gem. the slave girl could have wished to be far away from the collector and star lord could have just wished ronan were translocated to the farthest point from where they were*.

additionally, this could be the exact same place where the red skull got ported to since it is plausible that with his prior belief of the cube destroying anyone who touches it that his final wish was to see where the cube was born, which incidentally is at the very origin point of the universe and is thus necessarily the farthest point from everything else. it would be really cool to see a bonus scene where ronan and the slave girl meet an aged weathered red skull who has somehow survived to modern day in an alien realm. as for why the cube didn't port with him, maybe he also wished he didn't just touch the cube, so it left his hand as it ported him to his desired destination.
>>
>>88166626 cont.

the 'mind gem' makes more sense if it were the reality gem, since it somehow has the power to grant superpowers and also create a faux mind wand (note that the mind wand is the right color for the mind gem) that gave thanos the ability to peer across the galaxy. recall that he only decided he had to personally get involved once the 'mind gem' was freed from the staff.

as for why thanos gave up the reality gem, it could be that he simply believed that loki plus a faux mind gem would have caused massive death. he could have not forseen that anyone would have removed the gem from its housing.

as for why thanos would want a cosmic cube, if it is canon that the gems were misidentified and misused then it could be plausible that thanos would seek the cosmic cube to gain a better understanding of what the gems are, how they are meant to be used, and where the other gems are.

i haven't yet seen dr strange so i can't speak to whatever's in the eye of agamotto.
>>
>>88166683 cont.
>recall that he only decided he had to personally get involved once the 'mind gem' was freed from the staff.

this also explains his recumbent, irritated position in gotg. if he's peering at what's happening with his reality gem halfway across the galaxy, he's going to be sitting down and very irritated at any intrusions from his 'children.'
