Well, it depends on what you mean by "redpilled", because the alt-right or MRA groups that use it mostly do think "women are useless whores".
Despite that, I don't think that "different but two parts of the whole who need each other" was what the movie was trying to say. Sure, it didn't go out of its way to bash men, but the island seemed to have a gender-neutral outlook on assigning tasks and roles. The only reason Moana needed Maui was because he was more experienced, not specifically because he was a man.

I could see how you could describe the village as gender neutral, but you can't ignore that Moana is small and pretty and often relied on stealth or cunning, while Maui is a gigantic block of god-muscle. Moana helped heal Maui's emotional pain, and Maui taught her to sail. This kind of stuff can be seen in her parents as well, where Moana's dad is protective, strict, and the leader, while her mom is gentle and caring. Not to mention females were the ones primarily gathering food while men were primarily hunting fish. But I will agree that the most refreshing part was the lack of "I'm a girl but I'm STRONG" "I'm a guy and I'm DUMB" stuff.
