The Hijack plot is just so poorly paced, for real.

Theoretically, he's the bad guy of the chapter, as well as the ticking clock, but since he hasn't shown up in months, we don't feel threatened.

And it isn't just time, it's page time. Bopping around between like 5 subplots is causing the main plot to suffer.

Hitball was also bad, because it was essentially its own chapter, with its own climax and everything, used as the first act for another one.
