Depends on how young they are. If your talking about the Manhattan Clan then Broadway, Brooklyn, and Lex are a yes, they already love modern human culture. Brooklyn is quite fond of leather jackets and sunglasses.

However I don't see Goliath or Hudson trading out their clothing. but the thought of Goliath in a casual suit or sports blazer makes my dick tingle

some thread...
>>
>>88123535

Demona is not fit for porn. She's too pure. She spent 1000 years without fucking.
>>
>>88123670

The problem would be that regular clothes would be ripped when they become stone. Also between the tails and the wings, most clothes would be annoying.
>>
>>88124694
>would be ripped when they become stone
They could just take them off before they "go to sleep".

Like everybody else.

But okay, the wings and tails would probably make clothing annoying unless it was specially designed.
>>
>>88124748
>and then the wind blows them away or it rains/snows or a person/animal takes or etc
don;t forget there are some that have fur so clothes become more useless
>>
>>88124748
>They could just take them off before they "go to sleep".

>>
>>88125382
Humans could be transformed into gargoyles by sorcery, but I don't remember any hybrids.

I don't think gargoyles found humans attractive. There's a scene where Goliath sees a transformed Elisa and comments that he never realized how beautiful she was as human.

If Demona were to get cloned as a human would the clone get any of her Gargoyle DNA?

Can the mutates mate with other humans?
>>
>>88128519
I reckon Puck's magic isn't half-assed, she gets a full proper set of human DNA. Scots all the way.
meanwhile, while scifi doesn't usually like to say so, gargoyles is the kind of show that tries to be semi-hard about certain aspects of biology.. and the fact that sterility ensues with even a SLIGHT change of DNA would almost certainly deny the mutates offspring whatsoever. and yet talon manages to knock up maggie, so... evidently Sevarius REALLY did his work, and managed to create perfectly stable genomes in these creatures, with functional gametes and everything.

the real question is: is Eddie Munster a werewolf because Herman's testicles came from a dead werewolf? his 'human' mode looks like a vampire by default so that makes sense, he got that from his mom

why would thier regular clothes be ripped?, its not like they change size
>>
>>88134923

A lot of these facts can be verified on his Ask Greg website, which he's been doing for years. The screen cap is legit.

Weisman is an obsessive planner and uses thousands of paper index cards to chart and document every creative project. He plans more than Xanatos and will always leave a sequel hook or a backdoor pilot just in case a show gets huge and the network wants more or if the show gets cancelled and he wants to continue in comic form.
>>
>>88131707
According to Greg, he wasn't really into her and was just trying to compete because the other two were competing.
>>
>>88131707
The thing is, Greg also said that all Third Race beings are Pansexual. So he kinda talked himself into a corner, how can Lex be pan and gay at the same time?
>>
>>88136015
Third Race =/= Gargoyles.
Gargoyles are the second race, Oberon's Children are the third.

The gayLex thing always struck me as retcon pandering for attention. Like Rowling coming out and saying "btw Dumbledore's gay" and other stupid reveals because no one cared about her after the books were done.

It doesn't fit the world or plot they originally built for these characters. Gay humans and pansexual elves make sense, but gay gargoyles not so much.

>>
>>88140287
>In Greg Weisman's proposed TimeDancer saga, Brooklyn comes into possession of the Phoenix Gate after Goliath had thrown it into the timestream, whereupon he would be thrust into a forty-year journey during which he would acquire a new gargoyle beast named Fu-Dog and a female gargoyle named Katana who would become his mate and mother of his children, Nashville and Tachi. After forty years, Brooklyn has grown older, his legs are now longer and ticker, closer in proportion to Goliath's, allowing him to stand more upright. He now wears armor and eyepatch over his left eye. He also carries a futuristic rifle, a blaster, a katana, and a Scottish broadsword.

This is before most houses got deals like ntl or sky. generally speaking there were only 4 channels that played cartoons.

Nickelodeon.

RTE - our nationional station it would generealy play a mix from rugrats, dexters lab, pokemon, batman beyond ( batman of the future as it was called here), recess, the king kong and godzilla show, and xyber 9, which is weird because it and norway are the only stations that played it in its entirety.

CITV- this was a british station, it played digimon, and all the other non-pokemon anime as well as power- rangers, the zeta project.

Sky1 - The main corparte english channel, this played batman the animated series over and over, its also were most people got their simpsons, futurama and south park.

>You know that brilliantly written episode that talks about gun control without beating it over the children's heads or feeling very binary in its message? Let's make several jarring cuts that will make people think they're having a stroke and blanking out parts of the episode, oh, and tone down the blood that was even that copious to begin with!
>>
>>88147662

Snouts are usually rounded and just the nose, like a pig. Brooklyn's whole mouth and nose seem like a bird beak/dinosaur mouth.
>>
>>88147623
disney fucked with their schedule (long story) so they kinda had trouble with the season's pacing.

Im all for it but Broadway would have to be recast though, no-one would take a show seriously with Patrick Star as a main character
>>
>>88147808

He's a mythical creature, not like he has to adhere to the limitations of birds for his kisser to be called a beak.

Also, some prehistoric birds did have teeth. Terror Birds would be nasty fuckers if they still existed today.
>>
>>88147907
That bullshit and you know it. Why would you get everyone back, except this one voice actor because he does multiple voices?
>>
>>88147907

They could. And that would probably be a good way to get new kids attracted, even if Broadway isn't even a tenth the dope Patrick is.
>>
>>88147917
but he has a massive jaw too, griff has a beak, thats a better comparion

beak-like sure, but a beak it is not,

If I was writing a reboot and there was a flashback as kids, I might have a line from some of the other gargoyles making fun of brooklyn for it.

"its not a beak guys, stop..."

Take them to a library, teach them how to read, and give them some history books.

Books would be a hell of a lot less shocking and confusing than TV, slideshows, or most other methods for quickly showing them what has happened while they were cursed.

I know it was a dream weaved by Puck, but did anyone ever ask Greg what happened to "Future" Macbeth when "Future" Demona was killed? Given that AI Xanatos zapped her with lasers, did that mean somewhere Macbeth just went poof as well?
>>
>>88149799
they DID have a marvel comic for a while. if they did what they did back in the godzilla comics days they would have roped them right in.. and in they would fit! the TMNT too
>>

Why Christmas?
>>
>>88153470
nah they can only kill each other, remember?
if you wanna search the askgreg archives i'm sure someone asked.

the thing about demona is she seems to have an aura around her where everyone, sometimes even herself, forgets how her rules work. She gets killed twice after the rest of the clan knows she can't be killed, and it takes them a long time to get it set in their heads that she doesn't turn to stone during the day
>>
>>88118974
>I've been rewatching the series lately

Where? Always liked the show when it came on but was never able to watch it regularly. So any over arcing plots were lost on me.

You do not want that. You'd end up with a thousand comics like the one with Pokemon but only worse.
>>
>>88153524

Yea, but the "future" version of her is clearly killed by Xanatos, and this was after the clan had learned of her connection to Macbeth.

Also, I think they didn't quite consider her dead when she fought Thailog, just likely out of the picture since she got played HARD. And then the time after was in Goliath Chronicles, which is shit and non-canon.
>>
>>88153458

>He now wears armor and eyepatch over his left eye. He also carries a futuristic rifle, a blaster, a katana, and a Scottish broadsword.

I don't know why but I always wanted to see wither a Punisher/Gargoyles crossover or a Punisher/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover.
>>
>>88153968
eh, gargoyles are strong
He's got a half-decent setup here, but it would get in the way of the wing-cape
>>88154046
TMNT is top marvel parody so any marvel TMNT crossover is sort of like a theoretical marvel-mortal kombat crossover: automatically great but slightly redundant. casey was their Punisher homage
>>
>>88154111
it helps that a broadsword is a rapier for a gargoyle his size, and a katana, a wakizashi at best.
>>
>>88128920
Sevarius is supposed to be the best in his field

as for Eddie Munster, well in older fiction Werewolves and Vampires were often heavily associated with each other, so his mother being a vampire might be enough
>>
>>88154236
or to put it another way, oldtimey vampires used to just turn into whatever, not limited to bats. it was wolves as often as anything. and there were a bunch of other types of dudes who might turn into wolves for various reasons.

i just like the idea that when he sees the full moon, herman's nuts might turn furry and huge and temporarily spike his testosterone. and like, maybe one of his elbows. if I was writing the munsters nowadays i'd put in a bunch of jokes about different parts of his body.. "i've got a rash on my left leg, it came from a guy that's allergic to dogs"
>>
>>88153524
So does that mean if Demona was thrown into the sun she'd just survive in it forever?
>>
>>88154111
I wasn't talking about him having issues with lifting all the weight. More all the shit getting in the way of all the other shit. And from the thumbnail I thought he was holding a circular shield.
>>

Wasn't there one country where the myth had it that vampires were poorly executed werewolves?

>>

hmm. Magic might hit its limit there. I wonder if greg answered that
>>
>>88154585
Yeah securing the katana behind his waist was a good idea, it might clip his elbow spikes sometimes as he swings them back, or it might not. I know some carry wakizashi back there.
the only thing that'd flop around is the sword at his hip.. that's the main question.
>>
>>88153524
>nah they can only kill each other, remember?

Does it have to be directly killed? Or could one of them using a high powered rifle snipe the other one from over a mile away and it'd still count because they were the one that fired the round?
>>
>>88155242
I think a sniper rifle counts, but macbeth PURCHASING a rocket that fires demona into the sun doesn't. If he pushes the button that might be a grey area.

I just think it would fit well, Gargoyles has always been an emotional show, Christmas is a time for people to get together with their family, as well as human kindness, the gargoyles family were killed 1000 years ago, all they have is each other, it could make for some emotional scenes, also theres to whole of new york to explore, they can examine a holiday which encourages selflessness and be suprised when they see balck friday occur. just some ideas.

I've learned something this year, and possibly the last two years as well. online activism can be used for actuall change, wheter it be good or evil.
If you were to tell yourself five years ago:
>Samurai Jack would come back
>Powerpuff girls would come back
>Donald Trump would get in the white house
> Abe's oddessy would come back
>Gawker would be destroyed
>Klonoa would get a movie
> just yesterday crash bandicoot has new gameplay footage.

Now more than ever, people are listening to what the internet has to say, If we really do what this franchise to come back, we should make our opinions known.

>Can anyone tell me what the boat trip is and why everyone hates it?

Season 2 is much longer than Season 1. A good part of it features characters traveling on a magic boat that takes them around the globe. Fans call it the "Avalon World Tour".

While a lot of Gargoyles is very tightly plotted and most episodes move the overall story forward, the Avalon World Tour episodes turn to a more episodic "conflict-of-the-week" format and lot of fans didn't like when the show started spinning its wheels for a while.

The episodes themselves are fine and many of the seemly one-off conflicts end up tying back to the final climax of the series. That said, other are completely pointless (like the back-door pilot for The New Olympians).
>>
>>88182164
that one was pretty pointless, but holy shit was it well written
also it was neat for Elisa to get a taste of being the hated outsider race for once
