Generally speaking a party of 10 people is gonna be in the restaurant taking up three 4-tops for a lot longer than multiple smaller parties, because it'll take longer for them to get situated, get all their orders put in, get their apps, their drinks, their entrees all out at the same time, they'll linger, etc. A restaurant would rather have those three 4-tops be turning over every 35 minutes than have all of them taken up by one group of 10 people for 2 hours. Profit margins at restaurants aren't huge, so they rely on sheer numbers, and for that you need to get people in and out, rather than just have a bunch come in once.

The "point" of that one, as you can see from other comics, is that Kelly romanticises deadbeat dads. In the Kellyverse, it's normal for a man to just get up and say "Fuck it, I'm done with you people" and skip town one day.

This comic is him harrumphing that mothers are treated like queens on Mother's Day, but dads are shunned on Father's Day. Alright, I'm only versed in black theory in america to any appreciable degree, so I'll limit my comments to that. The root of the problem, at least in the black community, and likely it applies to Indians in a different connotation, is that they are an easily identified minority group. Irish, Italians, some Jews can blend in with the majority, and so over time they've been accepted and homogenized into that greater community. However blacks are easily identifiable, and the way our human brains work others are easier to dehumanize. So part of the problem is that blacks are an easy scapegoat for larger society. Ills can be transposed onto them and our brains make mental shortcuts to avoid thinking critically about things relating to the other as its too much effort and all people are, in my opinion, inherently lazy intellectually.
So when you are judging the other, consciously or unconsciously, you don't really think about them, you just think about your own personal them, your brains mental stereotype, edited as needed but with some basic qualities assumed unless changed by immediate evidence. This is a problem because this type of thinking will usually lead you to ignore context, which is vital when it comes to accurately acknowledging people as people, with a whole history and circumstances which have made them into who they are today.
To get to the main point, what a lot of people ignore about the black community is the history that led it where it is now, as it's not negligible to its current position. People took actions and those actions had motivations, usually greed in my opinion, and the best way to make money is usually explotation. Let's ignore slavery in this discussion and focus on the 20th century. Now racism is already ingrained in society and fear and hatred can explain a lot of the shit that happened, but what motivated the people who mattered were usually money and power. So politicians used legal tricks and fear mongering to rile up 1/?
