Excuse me, how is it an awful concept? The concept is a youngish teen from a "normal" world is sucked into 616 earth. That's got great seller all over it. The only thing wrong with it is that it is a GRRL super nerd comic fan instead of a pizza faced young teen boy. Otherwise though, its a good story theme for a comic line. Some would be just like her--- going out and destroying and killing like a crazed villain because they know that nothing is actually real. Other people would have a different reaction, sure, but that's just part of the fun with the concept.

The seed of the series might be a lame joke, but the comic series has been pretty decent so far.

But Sentinels in universe don't work like that just because she played a game, it doesn't makes any sense and those centinels look like any other generic centinel drawing out there so you can¿t even argue that is because they look like the ones in the arcade game.
