Part of this is that Cio's been wearing clothes that have covered up all her weird bug limbs, though admittedly I did draw her with normal arms/legs on accident and that stuck around for a whole book.

I did kind of like the eye effect where her glasses covered up/magnified her eyes and you couldn't see through them, but it's also harder to make a character emote like that and we wouldn't be getting the range of emotion we're getting from her now, for example

You could take the story, transfer it into cyberpunk or generic fantasy setting and it would still hold. And yeah what anon said, when the story gets broken up and released over time instead of all at once like a book, it gets people speculating criticizing, wondering, theorizing etc etc. Because we dont have the full picture yet so thats all we can do, fill in the gaps ourselves.

I feel you- I'm doing a webcomic as well, and long stories are the only things that make sense to me.

But yeah, in the end it'll be finished, and if people don't like reading it a week at a time, then they can just wait till then, and read it all in one go/buy the book.

One thing that Ashley Cope, author of Unsounded, does that I think is pretty cool is if he has a scene that would be completely torturous to read page every 2 days she'll dump 2-3 pages at once so people don't explode from anticipation or get really crazy because they're hanging on a weird point.

She does have a pretty solid buffer though, I think you basically publish pages as you get them right?

For your next project I would highly advise taking her example and going on a planned hiatus after each chapter/book to build up a buffer, give yourself a break, and work on things not necessarily related to putting a page up.

As long as you tell people about it ahead of time and stick to your return date there's really no hard feelings from your fandom. You put out great work man, I'd hate to see you get burnt out.
