Asami in the other hand had so little character that ranged from a Marie Sue at best to a plot device at worst, her design is also generic so it doesn't help either, so when in the end she was paired with Korra it seemed pretty underwhelming, in my opinion, even if /co/ denies it, they had some development, but fuck it was so little that at the end when they end together it felt incomplete, rushed and simply meh. Despite of how it may seem, you need more than handholding to make a lesbian couple work.
