It's the second longest-running cartoon on television, and has like the 6th highest episode count (and is pretty close to passing two other cartoons that have already ended). At this point, I think they're just going for the record.
Plus, new episodes aren't that terrible if you can get passed the animation. The writing is still sharp as ever.
I like how Americans digest British pop culture that is no longer relelvant or way past it's prime for some reason.
