This show has fantastic memorable and likeable characters, an easy-to-understand yet complex plot, smart modern humor, and an excellent soundtrack.
So... Why isn't it as popular as it should be? It gets the ratings and views that grants it new seasons, sure, but I rarely see any discussion about it Online even when Season 6 was airing. Granted, it takes years of break time to come up with a season, but there should be a lot of buzz around a supposed fanfavorite show once it comes back, right?
There was like only one thread a week about it here when it was on air, its subreddit still had months old threads on the hot page, and barely anyone mentioned it on TV-related forums.
So help me understand /co/, why is such a long running show of great consistent quality isn't getting enough recognition?

It's not out on a consistent basis.

/thread

/co/'s discussion of material is inverse to its quality.
This is well known.
>>88011339
It's not strictly /co/, I meant everywhere else on the internet, even Venture Bros clips on Adult Swim's YT Channel is receiving the least amount of views while Rick & Morty gets millions.
Literal years between seasons
>>88011286
While easy to understand there's a couple seasons of backlog most normies wouldn't go through. It's also on a pretty obscure timeslot also it has a weird premise.
>>88011339
Thats not true, /co/ just discusses certain things on both sides of the quality spectrum.
>>88012052
Like what?

Family Guy is rarely discussed yet everyone knows it is shit
>>88012726
People shit on it constantly.

Not enough waifus
The first season didn't wow me and the episodes I've seen in later seasons required too much plot context and character knowledge to fully appreciate. I'm sure it's decent but, for me, it's been hard to get into it.

It really picks up towards the end of the season and kicks into overdrive in season 2.
