I think I'd agree. When it comes to western animation invader zim was super consistent with it's quality both in animation AND writing. It never got bad and there's not really an episode I didn't like. I can't think of much competition.

Uh, whoa there...I mean, yeah, it's pretty good, but it wasn't good enough to save itself, was it?

When I think of the greatest cartoon of all time, I think of the Looney Toons. They're timeless, valuable, clever, and disciplined.

However, the fact that a show such as Zim still has such appreciation and loyalty by many who still admire it despite it being dead for over a decade does, in my opinion, show it's artistic merit.

The fact people still talk about shows that it WAS good, but it's not the best cartoon ever made

I dunno about the best show ever, but I love the artstyle. It's definitely among the best cartoon artstyles I'd say. It's cool enough enough by itself, but it also matches the grim vibe of the show perfectly.

kind of a watered down Ren & Stimpy/foamy at times, but it's not a bad top pick, if you like that edgy stuff. Lots of good shit around then I would prob point out The Boondocks and Samurai Jack are high tier for the 2000s. Sadly Zim fell shy of being the freakiest show at the time cuz of The Oblongs.

But all in all it's not The Weekenders sorry.
