While this is largely true, I really like the English voice cast for One Piece and they really do a lot to elevate the show despite its terrible pacing and animation issues. Well, here's the problem... even if Toonami was able to be about getting people into anime, it couldn't RETAIN those people without long runners, because most anime these days are 13-26 episode shows with open endings that are designed to get people to buy source material that may not be available outside Japan. So those shows don't get sequels fast enough to capitalize on their popularity (most of the time), so those new people leave within two years because they discover the anime market's flooded with incomplete garbage and a few gems.
