How many Omega telepaths do the Avengers count in their roster? The only people who have ever contained the Phoenix force in any capacity without cool toys are these types of mutants.
Speaking of cool toys, why couldn't Hank just build the same cage like he did in Endsong? It worked and was working before Quire cracked it.

That was Hope's plan. The Avengers didn't have a plan, they just wanted to feel "in control", which is understandable, but they were out of their depth.

Hell, they used Logan as their chief consultant on all-matters-Phoenix. Not once did Rach brief the Avengers before they jumped the gun. Oh and guess what? Rachel, the preeminent and only ACTUAL Phoenix expert (outside of the Shi'ar, perhaps), said Hope was capable. I'd trust her judgement over anyone's.

If she merges on earth and she can't control it, then earth may die instantly, if she is on anther planet, merges and can't control it, it will take a little bit of time for her to get back to earth possibly buying time to find a counter measure or move some people off earth.

Yes but in one scenario her death factually saves countless lives and in the other it damns them to enslavement and torture so in one case her killing (which again wasn't on the table) would have been morally right and the other would not have been.
