ITT: Deaths that should be remembered.

Scott is dead?
>>87937405
That's Eric. He died, became an evil android, and then died again.
Possibly first ever DC character to commit suicide not for reasons of sacrifice, and to stay dead since
>>87937074
WOW... Ok, that made me feel feels.
>>87937532
I knew he had troubles, never knew he killed himself ;_;
>>87937074
I couldn't feel too bad for Ollie. He broke into the house of a man who just lost his wife and unborn child, the place he was keeping his only surviving family to boot, and fucking shot one of them.
If any of you say you wouldn't have beaten him to death in Clark's shoes you just don't care about your family.
If anyone disagrees, try breaking into someone's house and try to make them the bad guy to the judge if they break every part of you. Tell us how that pans out.
>>87937810
This has been bothering me for so long. What the hell is up with his spine?
>>87937532
the first, but not the last
>>87937898
MUH FAMILY
MUH BOAT
>>87937559
I'm surprised that Marvel depicting a gay man dying of AIDs and having the courage to have his gay partner be in tears at his bedside isn't bandied about more in today's SJW-pandering Marvel.
>>87939003
Mar-Vell isnt gay. In fact, hes so straight, he stole the heterosexuality from all three of his children.
>>87939082
That page doesn't look like a depiction of a straight man and what you described sounds like a faggot passing on gay genes to a new generation of homos.
Skurge
>>87939175
If you don't know the context of the page that's on you for being a casual and a closet homo.
>>87939232
this, motherfucking skurge
did he actually die? that was the last issue of comics I read for a few years before I came back reading them again a few months back, felt like a fitting stopping point at the time.
>>87940787
He was literally broken into pieces off-panel. Hera put his jawless head on a mantle.
So what's the best we can hope for, for the series right now?
>>87941224
>PSZZT, NOTHIN PERSONNEL KID
Edge. The only thing missing was rape
>>87941305
Arcade has always been edgy tho
wonder why nobody has murdered the fuck out of him
>>87938931
This was honestly the moment I become devoted to comics. I grew up with ultimate spidey, and this issue came out right as I finished high school. I had been absorbed by it before, but a comic had never made me cry tears of frustration before. I didn't even know I was capable of feeling the way I did after Pete died. It was honestly a transformative point in my life.
>>87941224
I miss him every day
>>87943121
>Arcade has always been edgy tho
Looks at this fucking casual right here. Arcade used to always be a fun one-off villain that used insane theme park and game-themed death traps that would never actually succeed in killing heroes, but Arcade appreciated the challenge just the same and respected his adversaries with a sense of sportsmanship. The guy even attended Captain Britain's wedding.
To have villains make him a laughing stock by cruelly mocking him (at his own birthday party, no less) until he reached his breaking point and decided to toss out any sense of sportsmanship by forcing children to murder one another in a hidden locale to somehow prove his superiority was purely Dennis Hopeless stuck with a shitty project because Marvel wouldn't just let him do his British teen hero academy series.
>>87943121
You might get your wish, anon.
>>87943269
Funny, the death of Peter marked the moment I dropped out of regularly reading cape comics altogether.
The only male superhero with an eating disorder. The powerless guy who played second fiddle to even the other powerless guys. The heart and soul of the JLI, and quite possibly my favorite superhero.
>>87938124
>>87946014
that death, like Jason, should be forgotten
>>87945881
I miss Ted so much. BB Rebirth just isn't the same.
>>87946037
I would have voted for his death, had I been old enough to comprehend anything at that time.
>>87936781
guys help me with this, when i was a child, buy this comic, the main character was like a crossover between cap america and punisher, and fight this soldiers with monkey mask
the cover was the same guy shooting two guns
>>87937532
Who's this?
>>87937898
>If any of you say you wouldn't have beaten him to death in Clark's shoes you just don't care about your family.
Clark is a physical god who had a million ways to incapacitate Ollie non-lethally in the blink of an eye.
YOU would be justified beating Ollie to death. Clark is held to a higher standard.
>>87937898
Clark is so far ahead of Ollie in terms of physical strength that literally just breathing on him would've won him the fight. It's the equivalent of killing a child if he were a regular human.
>>87946716
Vigilante. Read his entire run, it's worth it.
>>87947432
Given that it's Injustice and Supes isn't holding back any more, probably more like the a sumo wrestler piledriving an infant.
And speaking of Injustice...
I ONLY post this so everyone can see how NOT to do a death. I bet people know what it is without even opening the spoiler.
>>87947712
RIGHT THO!?
>>87945719
I can see why you'd feel that way, but if Ultimate Pete had been your childhood introduction to comics, and you'd suffered along with him as he went through the trials and tribulations of that awful universe, only to have him ultimately taken from you in a moment of heartbreakingly noble sacrifice, I think you'd feel the way I do.
Pete was the warm, gooey center of the ultimate universe, in the way that Spidey was always supposed to be for 616, but because he had that purpose from the beginning, it hit so much harder than it ever did for Amazing spidey. Ultimate Pete is honestly my favorite comic character of all time.
>>87947712
Yup. This is a terrible death.
>>87947712
It's called "Injustice" for a reason, anon.
>>87943269
That's great! Too bad he didn't actually die, and his death was BS arranged by Fury.
>>87937951
It is different for gods.
>>87947712
Okay. What kind of death should it have been? Stupid and senseless like most killings? Or should it have been some kind of grand sacrifice to save the world? How about no deaths since superhero deaths never stick anyway?
>>87940705
>>87939232
>Skurge will be wasted in Thor: Ragnarok
>>87940705
God. I bought this comic long, long long time ago. More than 25 years ago if I recall. I was 12yo.
Thank you very much for these memories, anon.
No one remembers Bill Foster
>>87948714
That death should be forgotten, because Civil War was utterly atrocious.
>>87948490
It already is stupid and senseless you twat. Dick died from something that, if capable of killing him, should have done so dozens of times by now just by the number of times he and bats get knocked out and because Damien wanted to be a little shit who couldn't put aside his angst for one fucking moment.
Even Deadwing doesn't make up for it since that entire arc of year 3 has so many other characters dying or doing stupid shit but not injustice stupid such that you can actually laugh about it.
>>87941305
There's a moment where he says he undressed and dressed all the characters in their costumes.
>>87949300
imagine an alternate comic where he undresses Hazmat and just dies from radiation poisoning, everyone wakes up, and then they go home.
Or, hell, maybe they can't leave after Arcade dies and have to find a way off the death-trapped island together. You could still have the dangers and stress, but with more character growth and better storytelling.
>>87948502
He might be the best part
>>87947712
This death made complete sense. People die if you hit them on the head, people die if you trip them. Death is arbitrary.
>>87949798
Makes sense in our world. Not in a comicbook that doesn't aim to be slavishly realistic.
>>87949881
No, that's bullshit. Yes, people generally don't die, get knee problems, or go deaf from all the explosions they jump away from, but that doesn't make it happening stupid or pointless. It just happened that time and didn't every other time
>>87947965
Ultimate Spider-Man was what got me into cape comics in the first place. When Ultimate Pete died so did my interest in ongoing cape stuff. Now I only read completed stories or eurocomics.
>>87947712
Well, it's accurate. Nightwing is Flying type, so of course he'd die to a sneaky pebble.
Every GL death is pretty sad
>>87946826
Would you be able to go about the situation with a cool and collected state of mind if someone shot one of your family members after your wife and unborn son were used as a bomb to destroy the city where you established your career both as a reporter and a superhero? Having that much power doesn't mean that someone with less than a fraction of what you have can't hurt you.
>>87950587
Except he couldn't. Ollie proved earlier in the scene that he couldn't. The arrow that hit clark would have been full of kryptonite if the intention were to hurt him. Pa Kent only got hurt because muh invulnerable son couldn't fucking stop an arrow that bounced off him with his goddamn FTL travel then proceeded to beat Ollie to death despite them fully willing to leave.
>>87950523
fuck flies, I would have swatted it the moment ;I saw it
>>87945627
>>87941224
>fucking Arcade is some bishounen looking motherfucker now
What in the SHIT has happened in comics in the last like, 25 years?
>>87950523
;_;7
>>87945627
Not before Gwen laments that he used to be fun and cool and she loved his old issues.
>>87941352
Oh my fuck
>>87950858
He wasnt a fly, he was a Green Lantern.
