A giant vacuum cleaner

Iceman goes Ice Age on the planet again, controls the weather systems and turns the cloud solid.

Storm, Crystal and Iso contain it to a single area again and Magik opens a massive stepping disk to a hell dimension and sends it through

Magma sets off a chain of volcanos, adding sulfur and ash and other shit into the atmosphere in an attempt to change the chemical composition of the gas again

Jean Grey, Rachel Grey, Psylocke, Hellion, Nate Grey, Cable, Hope Summers, Justice and any other remaining telekinetic combine their power to draw all of the terrigen around the world into a single place, contain it inside a massive force field and throwing it into the sun
>>

>>
>>87909189
It happened in Bendis' run. He was dying so he pulled his younger self to the present, under the pretense of stopping Cyclops from causing a mutan genocide, and together they figured out how to put Beast through a third mutation
>>
>>87909177
something about bendis bitching & crying until he got his way at one of those marvel retreats
>>
>>87909074
Man, there are MULTIPLE ways of doing it.

Pym particles could shrink the cloud down to a manageable size and they could literally contain it in a box.
Storm could summon the winds create a series of tornadoes and twisters, keeping the mists trapped in a certain spot for years until an actual antidote is found.
Magik(In a fucking biohazard suit), could open up portal to Limbo, have like a whole bunch of vacuum cleaners on the other side and suck the mists inside there.
Mother fucking Molecule Man could just eat the goddamn thing.
Somebody strikes a deal with one of the many fucking devils or demons that exist, selling their soul or marriage or penis to get rid of the mists.
Doctor Strange could bargain with it.
>>
>>87909177
Because Bendis threw a hissy fit about wanting Wolverine-hair Beast back. Hickman and Remender laughed and threw shit at Bendis for it so much that Bendis almost started to cry. Brevoort, feeling bad about the whole affair, approved Bendis' "change Beast's look to be more ape-like again" request just without the wolverine hair.

Other characters know how to manipulate Pym Particles. His daughter Nadia had her own lab in the Microverse.
Scott Lang manipulated Pym Particles so that he could beat a Doom with the power of Kang and Annihilus
Raz Maholtra is able to program Pym Particles well enough that the Ultimates called on him to help shield their ship.

Molecule Man is helping Reed rebuild the Multiverse
>>
>>87909271
>is something announced for future?
Future trade solicits show that we're getting a Mega-arc starting after Clone Conspiracy wraps up about Osborn vs. Parker and is the big final battle that's going to be responsible for Parker Industries getting destroyed.

If there ever was a time for Slott's run to end, it'd probably be with this upcoming Goblin Nation vs. Parker Industries arc.

I don't get it. The Inhumans are super heroes too right? Why do they just let a cloud travel around the world and genocide an entire race of people? They don't seem the least bit concerned and even defend it.
>>
>>87910089
>celestial gene fuckery,
but that's what I'm saying. In Gruenwald version Celestials gave humans protection over radiation, but didn't add x-gene. Some other writer later retconned it that x-gene was a creation of Celestials. Later it was retconned that Celestials only vivisected some primates and put Eternals in order to observe humankind

Kree on the other hand, had different goal, because they wanted to evolve themselves, therefore they started some experiments.
Inhumans = humans / eternals hybrid with mutation unlocked by mist and mist only

Mutants = humans with mutation unlocked randomly

Also, x-gene is the reason that Spider-Man got spider powers instead of spider cancer

>>
>>87910407
>clouds become rain is too complicated for a company with a weather witch as a major character

>>87910415
well like I just said, this isn't even technically the same timeline so they're technically less of a plot tumor now than they were before.

In fact, since this universe doesn't really have a pre Secret Wars past, the only plot tumors are any shit they write going forward since literally anything can simply be justified by that's just how shit got put back together.

Admittedly Secret Wars made no god damn sense in the fist place but that's a moot point at this point.
>>
>>87908343
At first, the Terrigen Mists going all across the planet was something the Inhumans weren't happy about, to the point that Black Bolt was exiled for it. It was shown that the Inhumans wished they could stop the cloud, but there was nothing they could do about it.
Now, they're suddenly against anyone doing anything against the Cloud even if it means letting thousands of mutanst die? What the fuck Marvel? And you want us to root for them?

Wolverine & The X-Men was his idea, so they let him do Schism to make it happen.
Then Editorial as a whole decided to do AvX because it would sell more than just an X-Men event, killing YEARS of buildup and making the whole team look like villains/losers.
Then they handed the franchise to Bendis.
They the higher-ups decided the Inhumans needed to be pushed as mutant replacements.

Only good books in that time have been Spurrier's Legacy and...His X-Force, PAD's All New X-Factor, and Bunn's Magneto stuff is okay?

Black Bolt didn't know that it would effect the mutants. Black Bolt wanted Maximus to make it so it would be diluted enough not to effect humans or mutants but still be able to cause terrigenesis.

But of course, Maximus is a literal super-villain who is actually capable of making new terrigen but chooses not as a fuck you to Medusa for usurping the throne, so it's entirely possible that he knew that M-Pox would happen and just didn't mention it to Blackagar.

When the Royals or any of their nuhumans, that's not them doing it for moral reasons. That's them doing it as a diplomatic mission and a PR move. Sure they don't want to see innocents die, but their top priority is the safety of their people and the status of their city-state above all else.

The Inhumans have been antagonists almost as often as they've been protagonists. They're still on the side of the "good guys," because other than Maximus they're not evil, but they're not superheroes (other than Crystal). Black Bolt and Attilan is more comparable to Namor and Atlantis than anything else. Hell, Attilan was over Atlantis for a bit and Triton spent years living there as Namor's buttbuddy.

Terrigenesis is supposed to be a holy and pure ritual that people go through after coming of age and being approved by the Genetic Counsel's eugenics program. A giant floating cloud made of diluted terrigen that turns everyone it contacts into an inhuman en mass is sacrilege to them.

DoX was the first instance where they implied the Inhumans wanted the cloud to stay, other than Black Bolt who does want the cloud since he wants to build an unstoppable inhuman army to protect Earth with and has been trying to pull off this "turn everyone into an inhuman" plan for years. But he seems to have stopped caring about that and become content with just running his bar and polishing his replica-Kaneda bike.

>Why release their gas on earth?
Because there were humans that had interbred with inhumans across the planet. As partially inhuman, that made them Black Bolt's rightful subjects but there was no way to figure out who was or wasn't.

So why not detonate a bomb that covers the world in terrigen and forces terrigenesis on every one of them. That's a whole lot of new inhumans and if you're an inhuman supremacist then that's great for you.

Because honestly, it's even less difficult than the Mutants moving out of the way of the cloud until it IS dealt with.

The Cloud isn't even a huge global catastrophe, it's basically only effecting mutants.

No, it almost destroyed everyone because Hope wasn't prepared to control the Phoenix.

Also Terrigen only gives Mutants cancer and sterilize them, not blow up the planet.

I think people are forgetting that, Cyclops was basically gambling the entire world JUST for a few new mutants, he can't say Black Bolt is any worse when the Terrigen doesn't even harm normal people.
>>
>>87913888
What scrapped X-men plot was that?
>>
>>87913851
If it wasn't for the M-Pox which was an unplanned and unforeseen side effect that was tacked on by Marvel after the fact to force this conflict, then what Black Bolt did really wouldn't have been that different than what Cyclops wanted to do and Hope did in AvX.

Is the Terrigen Cloud really that different from The Phoenix? Did the world really "need" new mutants? Obviously if you're a mutant then the answer would be yes, but all those regular humans who suddenly had active x-genes because of the Phoenix being unleashed on the planet didn't exactly get a say in the matter. Same deal. If you're an inhuman, then all these people who "should" be inhumans but aren't because of circumstances (like all those people that "should" have been mutants but weren't) getting their powers triggered against their will by a hero on that side.

Cyclops and Black Bolt really have a lot in common when it comes down to it. If Utopia had gone differently and Scott found himself as King of the Mutants, can you really say his rule would been that much different?

Not really their own free will. Their King was acting in secret while colluding with his evil brother, no one else knew. Medusa knew something was up but not the specifics. You're dumb or didn't read the comics.

Cable came back to the past usinf Dr. Doom's time-machine because he learned that when the X-Men handled Hope Summers to the Avengers someone in the Avengers killed Hope, starting a war with the X-Men and dooming the planet because when the Phoenix Force showed up and Hope was dead the cosmic bird scourged the planet. So Cable tried to stop the Avengers before that could happen and when he failed begged his father to never handle Hope to them.

The Phoenix Force was coming to Earth one way or another and the reason why was because Scarlet Witch messed the cosmic design when she wished for mutants to stop existing. So the cosmic bird was coming to Earth burning everything in its path to correct Wanda's mistake.

Hope Summers BY COSMIC DESIGN was chosen to be the Phoenix Force's host to fix that mistake and again BY COSMIC DESIGN she was destined to control the Phoenix Force with the help of her Five Lights.

The problem started when the Avengers attacked the Utopia island giving the robot Unit enough time for him to teleport and erase the minds of Hope's Five Lights. IT IS ONLY BECAUSE OF THAT HOPE NEEDED IRON FIRST'S HELP. SO THAT'S ON THE AVENGERS, NOT CYCLOPS.

And Cable was right in the end, because WOLVERINE TRIED TO KILL HOPE. He was the Avenger that killed Hope and doomed the world. He was also the asshole that told the Avengers to invade Utopia and kidnap Hope. And even if he hadn't killed her, the Avengers best plan was to keep her locked up in the Negative Zone, which would also doom the planet once the Phoenix Force reached the planet since Hope would be there.

But hey, let's blame Cykes.
>>
>>87914353
Maybe it'd be better to focus on Marvel's intentional ruination of the X-Men, rather than getting mad at fictional people.
>>
>>87914399
Damn straight I blame Cyclops.

Cyclops never once tried to reason with anyone. He never once said

>Oh look COSMIC DESIGN deems that we need Hope here on the planet to contain the Phoenix please help us.

No, he instantly butted heads and escalated the situation.

And at no point did the Five Lights ever be said to work. Who were the specified Lights to work? What if Kenji was one that was needed?

Turns out the COSMIC DESIGN prophecy came true when the Avengers and X-men worked together, Without Cyclops causing rifts.

Because that's all he ever did, cause rifts.
>>
>>87914532

>Cyclops never once tried to reason with anyone. He never once said

HIS SON TOLD HIM THAT IN THE FUTURE HE CAME FROM THE X-MEN BELIEVED IN THE AVENGERS AND ONE OF THE AVENGERS ENDED UP KILLING HOPE. HIS SON BEGGED HIM TO NEVER HANDLE HER OR TRUST THEM. And you know what? Cable was proven right when Wolverine went alone behind Cap's back and tried to assassinate Hope.

Let's not forget that when he met the Avengers on his shores that he had Emma Frost by his side and he only made a move after consulting with her what were really Cap's intentions. Emma told him that they came prepared for war and wouldn't leave without Hope Summers. That Cap wasn't there to negotiate.

SO FUCK YOU!
WHERE WERE THE AVENGERS BEFORE? WHERE WERE THEM?
>>
>>87914233
Rachel Grey had to be begged out of burning down the universe to defeat Beyonder by Storm. Rachel is FAR more competent than Hope since Hope gets ready to burn shit for trying to teach her ethics and knows less about controlling the phoenix than the students at JGHS did within their first month of classes.
The phoenix is always on a hair trigger from burning the universe ahead of time and the point behind it grabbing a host is to prevent that from happening.

>>87914926

One of the Avengers comics tie-in, don't remember which. It was never implemented because Hope escaped and Cap got butthurt once he learned Wolverine was going to kill the girl. So they decided to ignore the girl, since there were too many variables they couldn't control, and go on and shoot the cosmic bird.

So having a magical solution via the original spellcaster dispelling the spell wouldn't have worked according got you for absolutely no reason and no scientific solution would have worked because you say so?
Cool. Cyclops still cared more about MUH PLAN than actually getting results. He clearly cares less about actually saving/helping (former) mutants as much as being the one that saves mutants.

His power isn't having a loud voice. It's just complicated enough that i can't recall the exact/proper explanation for you. Via channeling it he gets above hulk strength, durability, flight, and a few dozen other abilities.

A SIDE EFFECT of his power is that when he talks everything basically gets destroyed.
Writers nowadays are very stupid and simplify his powers into has a really loud voice when it's not volume at all. It's just that trying to speak is capable of ripping apart the fabric of space and time for him.

Yeah I just don't anything about him. He comes up alot lately as I've gotten back into comics but for the years and years, ages ago, I was into them he basically didn't exist. Obviously he existed but I just never saw him.

Remember that time Tony Stark was a fucking idiot and tried to blow up the Phoenix, which directly led to the Phoenix corrupting Scott Summers? Then Dark Phoenix killed Xavier? Then everyone turned on Scott? Why doesn't he get the same consideration Wanda and Jean got when they were corrupted by primal forces and did terrible things? Cyclops was, is, and always will be right and the Avengers and inhumans can fucking burn

>Writers nowadays

They've been doing it since at least the 90s anon. In FF they had Black Bolt just whispering in order to overload Doom's Battery, as well as his subjects saying "his mere whispers can shatter mountains!"

and most importantly, fans who lose their MINDS whenever he does something that is not blow up the planet.

Avengers side didn't really think of it as something that made things worse, and Scott found out Tony believed he was right all along side he held no grudge against him

TLDR so i shortened it
it's like saying Cyclops can kill you via looking at you. Technically true but once writers start saying it's his eyesight that's the damaging part instead of the Hawaiian punch beams then the writers have clearly not understood what they're writing about.

Because you support wiping out fictional characters instead of pointing out how writing and editorial fucked up, leaving them free to ruin more characters.

Why not ask the Ultimates to fix the cloud problem? I mean fuck they managed to do more impossible shit in their first volume.

>Speaking of Namor, where the fuck is Namor?

Hyperion killed him in the first issue of Squadron Supreme.

>Jean Grey peers into someone's mind without their consent

i love how unlikely this sounds initially, yet it keeps happening.

Captain America murdered three gorillas and crazy old man just to get a secret base where he could do Nazi Stuff.
