The craziest thing is that this movie is probably going to succeed. I work at an amusement park and some of the most popular prizes are the emoji pillows and hats. In the shops I heard a kid freaking out over some emoji gloves.

Did you see Imagining Zootopia documentary?

They explained there how they make movie based on a setting, that sells. That way the executives and film makers are happy with the final result.
(personally i think end result was "ok", they blew it when they choose the music for that movie though)
