No one can agree on what they are and what they actually do to their hosts, so every new writer has a new take on them even if it contradicts something that's been previously established. Bendis tried to make it his own thing with this "Klyntar" nonsense, but it only served to make things even more convoluted.

I think the problem with Space Knight Venom is that when he was first revealed, he had the general appearance of something out of Ben 10.

After Space Knight's artist got a hold of him, though, he generally got smoothed out and looked a lot better. It's one of those designs that really needs a good artist doing it to work.

But honestly like others have said: Why can't they just make Eddie Venom again? I mean, I enjoy him in Carnage alright. But people love Eddie as Venom. He's the Venom that casuals know, and he hasn't had the costume since the early 00's. They just used him before for the cool factor, but I think if they went in on a Vision-tier story from someone like King they'd rake in assloads. The funny thing is of all the characters they push for merchandise they've always used Eddie Venom. Even when Ike was being full jew and fucking over the X-Men they still used Eddie Brock Venom in any merchandising thing that needed a villain. But for some weird reason it feel like they're ashamed of him when it comes to putting Eddie in-costume in the actual books.

Brock killed Donna Diego while she was investigating Scott Washington's death. The Scream symbiote was incapacitated, but I don't know what happened to it after Diego died. After Washington was killed, Hybrid was separated back into the individual Life Foundation symbiotes (Lasher, Phage, Agony, Riot) and bonded to government agents. The Life Foundation symbiotes are currently bonded to a government dog as Hybrid as of the end of Deadpool vs. Carnage.

There's also Scorn. Who knows what happened to her after Carnage's last solo.
