I would have probably started to smell problems when the show I'm working on decided to have its child protagonists start twerking

* trying to capitalize on nostalgia while also shitting on that nostalgia
* QUALITY animation
* weird mixed setting that can't decide what kind of school environment it is
* lolsorandumb "humor"
* unironically buying into feminist memes while also being lazy about it with no innovation (I can at least respect SU for being creative even if it's somewhat cringey)

Everything gets renewed in it's first season if it doesn't tank out of the gate. UG got renewed in it's first season and look where that is now.

If it was something like Loud House where it got it's third season confirmed before the first ended, that would be different.
