Also, King Crimson, The World, and Star Platinum: The World could be Supes if Diavolo/DIO/Jotaro had access to Kryptonite, as they could use the skipped/frozen time to get kryptonite close enough to him to weaken him.

Also, I could totally see Josuke, if he had access to Kryptonite, taking a rock of it, crushing it into dust, putting the dust all over his clothes/in his pockets, and then "fixing" it when he's close to Superman.

The Jojo character I see having the best shot at beating Superman is Rohan. Other characters would have to touch him with their stands, Rohan only needs to make a drawing in front of him or showing him a drawing, and not only he can draw in air thanks to his stand, Part 6 shows he can also draw at a ridiculous superhuman speed. Then, he can write whatever he wants in Superman's mind and he already won.

President Valentine, as he was at the ending of Part 7, was virtually invulnerable to anything Superman could do, and he could also pull a Superman duplicate from another Universe and have them both disintegrate (though Superman could probably fly faster than the pull towards his duplicate).

Other characters that could have a shot at Superman, for me, are: J. Geil, who only would need to stab a reflection of Superman instead of getting too close to the real Superman; the guy of Part 5 that can trap you in mirrors (though I don't remember the conditions which have to be met); the Grateful Dead user, who could turn him old from a safe distance (I don't know what's Superman's lifespan though); Kira either turning him into a bomb or with Bites the Dust; Enigma user who would only need to scare him and isn't avobe taking hostages; D'Arby; maybe the really weird stands from Part 6, like Bohemian Rhapsody or Underworld; and Weather Report, which wouldn't surprise me if it were able to simulate Red Sun radiation with all the weird shit it can do.

From what I understand, a meteor hit Earth in ancient history. The stone that meteor was made of was capable of bringing Stands out of those with the aptitude, but it mostly just killed people who got cut by it. Then some assholes decided to make a bunch of arrows out of that stone, which were eventually buried away for thousands of years. Considering that Joseph, Holly, Jotaro, Josuke, and Giorno show that there is also some hereditary element to Stand manifestation, it's possible that there were those who gained Stands before the arrows were entombed, and then those people had descendants, some of which manifested Stands all on their own. That could very well be how Abdul, Polnareff, and Kakyoin got their Stands.

Stands count as magic in the same sense that many just fuck with physics on a conceptual level. But at the same time many Stands focus on physical force so that doesn't matter.
