I like it, it's a great mix of sword and sorcery and like street gang fights. The character design is top notch. It's a little slow in areas but reads great in trade form.

It was the back up story, Sword of Sorcery had the main story of Amethyst and a backup of Beowulf and then some story about the devil.

The first arc is lackluster in art and Ewing clearly hasn't hit his stride yet. I don't like to recommend skipping parts but if you can't stomach Sandoval I don't think you miss too much by jumping to issue 7 where Cassara takes over
